This was the world of Arcadia. A online mmorpg released a few years ago, over the course of its release the game has become a global phenomenon, outselling every single game of its kind. The game allowed players to have an immersive experience and experience it with people all across the world. Players were able to explore the massive fantasy world, build connections and even make a livelihood inside the game.

Despite the wonders and innocents of this world that were presented on the surface some may fall victim to the many scammers in this game. Due to the games wide popularity, items and limited event rewards were highly desired by everyone. However to keep the game interesting the developers made ultimate items extremely difficult to retrieve, having to complete nearly impossible boss fights, players would do almost anything to get there greedy hands on a rare artefact, even going as far as spending thousands of real dollars on in game items. Real life people were making thousands in real life from exploiting players wants.

This is where Li Wie fell. Li Wie, is an unemployed man in his early 20s. having started playing Arcadia back when he was in highschool, Wie was one of the first to fully immersive himself in the game. The game controlled his life, his grades dropped tremendously when the game was first released, every second of his life since the realise revolved around the game. And now, as an experienced Arcadia player Li Wie was able to live in complete ease. While others his age were struggling to get through post secondary, probably drowning in student debt, Li Wie was sitting in front of his monitors, in his large penthouse without a care in the world.

Li Wie grinned cracking his knuckles, he leaned back in his gaming chair staring at his monitor, on the screen showed a display screen of a 'dressing room', a room where players could desire their characters. Li Wie eyes glossed over as a smug smirk fell across his lips. A female avatar starred back at him, with long glossy white hair flowing down her back, big, shiny blue eyes devoted with innocence, and a figure able to create riots of furry from real women. She was a beautiful doll and Li Wies way of scamming unsuspecting men out of rare items then reselling them for real money.

He was making bank, deceiving love deprived men behind a screen while pretending to be a women. Li Wie, despite knowing how shameless this method of making money was, it was just too easy. He's gone through so many online boyfriends, online boyfriends that he would make depended on his kindness so much that any rare item these boyfriends retrieved would immediately be gifted to Li Wie.

Staring at the lady on the screen, Li Wie swerved his mouse over to the 'enter game' button. Entering the game, in elegant font the words 'SilverSiren' appeared above the goddess like avatar. Li wie navigated the menu, checking who in his friend list was online. Not even three seconds after he entered the game a green light flickered on next to the name 'MatzNight'. Li Wie smirked. Suddenly an avatar appeared next to him. A tall, slightly tan, man with fluffy looking brown hair stood next to him. This was MatzNight or Noe, Li Wies current in game boyfriend. Just like his username Noe was in fact a night, but unlike other nights in the game Noe did not select the role. When you first join Arcadia you'll have a choice of a role, merchant, Sorcerie, Fairy, Knight, assassin, and many more. Li Wie's character, Sirrena was a wind sorcerer while Noe's character was a merchant however his talents for in game battle were recognized by fellow players and he was promoted to an honorary knight with great power and respect from others. Noe grinned, his heavy armour making a clanking noise as his avatar approached Sirrena.

"Sirrena!" Noe shouted excitedly. The man, nearly 2 feet taller then Sirrena bellowed happily rushing towards her, she was swept up into the large mans embrace. "Hello Noe" Sirrena greeted giving the man a small peck on the cheek. Noe's avatar blushed, the tips of his ears turning red. "I've gotten you something" Noe chirped, Li Wie's gin widened "Fool" he muttered under his breath. Li Wie watched in anticipation as Noe's avatar reached into his inventory and retrieved a shiny box.

"It took me longer then expected to get my hands on this..." Noe sighed looking at the package in his hands "I burned nearly all by HP and Mana...but your worth it" he smiled softly, a shy smile curling onto his lips as he looked at Sirrena with affection. Sirrena smiled gently back at the buff man. "Your a doll~" She hummed, reaching on her tipytoes to pat the top of Noe's head. She then took the package, unwrapping the sparkling strings. The box fell apart revealing a set of blue angel wings. Li Wie mouth fell agap. "You-" Sirrena stumbled over her words, starring in shock at the wings in her hand. "Do you like them?" Noe asked nervously. Li Wie was still in awe. This item, was, unbelievable, rare. He's seen this item go on sale for the same price as a real life house before.

"I-i'm in shock" Sirrena mumbled. Noe bit his lip nervously, appearing like an overlarge puppy dog, nervously awaiting their masters praise. "I love them!" Li Wie's avatar jumped into Noes arms. Pampering him in small kisses. "Thank you love" Sirrena smiled passionately at Noe. "I-...I'm glad you like them" a very flustered Noe muttered out. "I'm hoping that...this might be enough-" Li Wie watched Noe's avatar gulp and stumble over his words. "Sirrena...." Li Wie watched as Noe's avatar got on one knee in front of him. "I love you, ive never felt like this before, and i know this is only a video game but ive never loved anyone more then i love you" Noe's eyes were glossy looking up at Sirrena as if she was actually a goddess. "I would do anything for you...so please, promise me that one day soon we will be able to meet outside this game".

Li Wie glistened in surprise, this usually happened eventually in his online relationships, however this 'relationship' with Noe had only begun not even 2 month ago. Him wanting to meet him in real life was a bad sign. Li Wie may be a scammer however he did know the dangers others could make for him. When these boyfriends asked to meet him in real life he would usually say yes, spend a few more days playing with them, squeezing out every last penny from them before breaking up with them. Li Wie sighed he would have to ditch Noe too...He glanced at the pair of wings sitting in his inventory, Noe's done well, while he lasted.

A dangerous glint passed through Li Wie's eyes, he would have to ditch him soon enough anyways he just didnt thing it would happen so soon. He shifted in his seat. "Noe..." Sirrena looked at Noe with glossy eyes. "I'm really sorry...but i have to go now" she said sadly. Noe nodded, standing up from the ground. "But...you want to meet me too right?" the more he talked the more Li Wie thought he resembled an abandoned puppy. "Of course i do... but just not right now, soon i promise" Sirrena kissed Noe's forehead. Wie watched the large man melt into a flustered puddle "I'm going now bye bye". A message flashed across the screen. SilverSiren has logged out. Li Wie leaned back in his chair.

Dark brown hair scattered across his forehead. Unlike the goddess he portrayed in the game, Li Wie in person was quite different. He considered himself quite handsome, muscular, yet lean, short boy-ish hair cut, thin lips, straight nose, and oval eyes. He glanced to his side, his phone glowing as a text message appeared on the screen. Despite being a complete shut in, not attending college like the other kids his age, Wie had his fair share of friends. He grabbed his phone. The message reflected in his eyes.

"Meet up for drink?"
