It's a beautiful Tuesday morning with apricity blessing amongst the fog. Sparrows chipped scarcely on the trees while the gardener tended to the small farm right under the main house. The air is filled in moisture, the scent of musky eucalyptus covering its note. The gum trees swayed in the back of the house, pine trees mixing up in between. All foliage covered in winter dew.
Thuriya and Sai Lun sat quietly on the balcony, with a book in Sai Lun's hands. Thuriya doesn't even know if he's really reading it or not because his eyes were fixed on the gardener who's already harvesting baby carrots into his trolley. The farm wasn't in acres but produced enough fresh vegetables to supply the main kitchen with certain greens.
After awhile, Rose came out carrying a tray of food and drinks in her hands.
"Mmm....I'm famished...what are we having today Rose?" Sai asked closing the book he's reading.
"Some canapés and mimosas Sai.." Rose said putting down the tray.
"Ohhh they look nice...can I have some?" Sai Lun held out his hand grabbing the plate while Thuriya quickly grabbed it away from Rose's hand before she could give it to Sai Lun.
Rose was startled, looking at Thuriya where he throw her a wink.
"I taste everything she cooks first..", said Thuriya looked back to Sai.
Sai Lun frowned.
"You're an a-hole ...do you know that.?"
"Apparently...Yes..". Thuriya smirked while Sai rolled his eyes.
Rose laughed looking between the two silly friends and she picked up a canapé feeding to Thuriya who turned his face to her and opened his mouth.
"Uhhh....I think I just lost my appetite..". Sai Lun whined.
Rose and Thuriya laughed at him.
"Oh wait I forgot about the fritters...I'll be right back..". Rose ran back into the house headed to the kitchen while Sai Lun made sure she's out of the sight before whispering to Thuriya.
"Have you told her yet..?"
Thuriya shook his head.
"Good...I mean you told the girl enough of our secrets already....let's not get her involved anymore.."
"She's already involved since long time ago....", Thuriya replied sighing.
"Huh...like what?"
Thuriya stayed quiet for awhile, his eyes fully covered in guilt.
A few seconds passed and Sai raised his brows demanding for an answer. Thuriya looked up to him, then, darting his eyes for the door to check if Rose's coming out.
Then, he explained everything to his friend, about Rose's destiny and reincarnation.
"Holy...shit!!! so, so, the fire you told us about 1000 years ago...?"
Thuriya nodded.
"And.....and..". Sai opened his mouth wide covering it back with his hands.
"Holy mother of.....god..."
"Does she know...?". Sai asked but Thuriya stayed silent.
"She doesn't, does she.?"
"How am I gonna tell her that Sai...it's...."
Thuriya paused being unable to articulate.
"Right...better not tell her....", said Sai.
"Hey...do you think her problems in love life and........"
