"Did you piss off Kojima-San or what?"
Sasaki breathed heavily, resting on her knees as she looked at the players who weren't starters sprint to the finish line.
You puffed out a laugh, raising a brow at her as your shoulders moved with your every breath.
"Of course not, I'm the favorite." You grinned, looking at her with a smug look as you rested your hands at your waist.
"Really? Then why the hell is he making us run this much." Shimazaki spit, glaring up at you as she crouched on the floor, breathing heavily with a raspy voice.
You inwardly rolled your eyes at her voice, glancing back at her with a smirk. "Is it the training or is it your stamina?"
She glared up at you, about to retort before Moeda high fived you, watching your back as you started sprinting again.
She scowled, jumping up as she ignored Ikoma's hand and sprinted after you.
You smiled as you neared Kojima at the finish line.
"How much more of this?" You asked.
He glanced down at his watch as you crouched to touch the line.
"This is your last lap."
You grinned, looking back to see Shimazaki nearing the finish line.
"Say that." You responded, jumping back into your sprint.
You locked eyes with Shimazaki as you neared her.
"You sure you don't need that extra practice?" You asked as you ran past one another.
"You should stay afterwards so we can work on your receives." You said as you crossed your arms, looking down at Shimazaki beginning to do her ending stretches.
"For what?" She responded, looking down at the ground as she reached her hands to the tops of her feet.
You raised a brow at her.
"Really?" You asked, finally meeting her eye as she looked up at you in disinterest. "Your receives are the weakest amongst the third years, and need I remind you that you're a starter? You may be okay at blocking but you need to be able to receive too."
"What are you saying, Oikawa?" She fumed, sudden anger laced in her words.
"I'm saying you need to improve your receives if you plan on staying a starter, and that comes with extra practice, Shimazaki Haruna." You spit back, raising a brow at the way she suddenly stood up.
"I don't need no extra practice or extra help, Oikawa Y/N, especially not from the likes of you." She challenged, stepping closer to you as murmuring started to surround the two of you, Sasaki and Matsuno watching from a couple steps away as the first and second years tried to decide whether to step in or not.
"It's been three years, Shimazaki, and you haven't learned anything?" You doubled down, standing your ground as she inched closer. "You're an embarrassment."
Shimazaki's scowl deepend, Matsuno and Sasaki suddenly seemed much closer as she glared at you. "The fuck did you just say, Oikawa?"
"You've been in this club for three years, Shimazaki, and you're in the same place you were in when you first walked through those gym doors." You responded, suddenly feeling your body be pulled back as you saw Matsuno hold Shimazaki's outstretched fist, Sasaki holding your waist after pulling you back. "Throwing fists isn't going to make you better." You snarled, ignoring Matsuno's glare as he held back Shimazaki even harder. "But if you're going to, at least do it with someone you stand a chance against." You finished, nudging Sasaki as you stepped back and picked up one of the stray volleyballs.
