"WHAT?!" She gapes at me. Her lips parted wide. Lips that I have always imagined to taste and do unthinkable things. Pink and glossy.
Not helping Aman.
I clear my mind away from dirty thoughts and rephrase the question again, "Why don't we get married?" I ask her.
Now that I think about it, it doesn't seems like a bad idea. In fact something like determination blooms in me about the thought of marrying her.
"That was a bad joke asshole." She glares at me.
Oh did I mention that she loves to call me that?
Asshole.
I sometimes hear them in my dreams too.
I have never heard her saying my name.
"I am serious Heer." I stop the car and turn myself towards the back. "This would work. We don't have to be married for long, after Kabir gets married we could part ways." I tell her a sour taste remains in my tongue at the latter part.
"I don't get why you would ask me? You can discuss this with Mia." She shrugs crossing her arms over her chest glaring daggers at me.
"No. She wouldn't agree. I can't live a lifetime with that chudail (witch), Heer. She's after my money and the name that comes with this marriage, I don't think I could fathom a relationship like that." I shudder at the thought of being with her.
"What makes you so sure that I won't come after your money or name?" She asks narrowing her eyes a small smirk plays at her lips.
Oh. Those lips.
"Because I know you. You are my Heer." I blurt out. She turns rigid at my words. A blush makes it way to her light brown cheeks.
Remind me again why I don't think before I talk?
"I mean our Heer. Shivanya's bestfriend." I amend soon clearing my throat and she blows out a breath.
"Look, this won't work." She shakes her head, "I'd love to help someone in need but not in this way." She looks conflicted for a while, "Marriage is sacred to me." She bites the corner of her lips and looks at me determined with resolution.
"If you don't like her, you should ask someone who's more agreeable with your terms. I am not that person." She shakes her head.
A knot forms in the pit of my stomach at her refusal.
I blow out a breath and clear my throat, "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I just thought I should ask you." I look at her eyes and she darts her gaze all over my face.
