a/n: happy pride month :))))

Over the next few weeks, Moe and Caleb familiarized themselves with each other. Moe officially decided it was her new favorite spot for coffee and for stealing glances from Kiana when she was there.

There hasn't been any move made yet. Moe had realized Kiana wasn't as extroverted as she thought she would be. She stayed in her corner of the shop when she was there, only ever interacting with Caleb.

That was another thing Moe had noticed with Kiana. She was almost always with Caleb. It's like the two were connected at the hip. She put two and two together in her head. They're definitely dating.

"Remind me why I'm helping you with this again?" Kiana asks, hauling bags of coffee beans into the coffee shop. Well, Caleb was hauling the bags of coffee beans, and Kiana was carrying the small bags of sugar and bottles of syrups into the store.

"Cause'," Caleb tosses one of the bags down, taking a deep breath. "Boss asked me to do it, but I didn't realize he meant only me."

"Still didn't answer my question," Kiana jokes.

"Okay...you're my best friend, and I would do it for you," Caleb says, his voice filled with genuine affection. "And...I'll pay for you next...three dinners?"

"You don't have to do that," Kiana reassures, her smile radiating confidence. "I'm well off, remember?"

"Oh, I know that, Dr.Ramirez." He jokes.

"Oh shit...Are you guys not open yet?" They both hear from the front of the store. "The sign says open and...the door is unlocked."

Kiana and Caleb both turn, revealing Moe standing there with a handful of textbooks in her hands. Her hair is thrown on top of her head in a messy, curly bun, and a big pair of headphones are over her ears. She is dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants and looks four seconds from passing out.

Caleb flashes his friendly smile. "Oh, no! We are! I mean...technically. I don't have everything up and running yet, but...want your usual?" He asks.

"Yes, please," Moe sits at the bar, slamming her textbooks down. "I thought you only work in the afternoon?"

"Boss switched schedules again," Caleb groans before walking to all the coffee machines and flipping their switches on. He glances back at Kiana, who is still standing back towards one of the back counters. She quickly removes her glasses when she notices Caleb staring.

Caleb tilts his head, a nonverbal signal for her to introduce herself. Kiana ever so subtly shakes her head in a firm no.

"Do you work here too?" Moe asks suddenly, her eyes burning holes into Kiana.

Kiana opens her mouth to speak, yet nothing comes out.

Caleb smiles softly. "No, no, she doesn't. She just has attachment issues. This is Kiana. Kiana, my new friend Moe."

Moe smiles at them. "Kiana," She repeats. The name felt like gold on her tongue. Finally able to put a name to such a pretty face. Moe felt like she was blushing hard. "How long have you two been together?"

Caleb has to refrain from laughing as Kiana tries to hide herself further in her blush. Caleb shakes his head a little. "Oh, we're not together. Not anymore, at least."

Moe raises her eyebrows. "Not anymore? What's that story?"

"We just felt more like friends. And...I was having a sexuality crisis. I have a boyfriend right now."
