"Chifuyu," you murmured while observing him facing Baji passively, despite Baji's relentless punches. "You still have faith in Baji? Well then, if you do, I do too," you declared, witnessing the chaotic scene unfolding before you. Despite Toman's diminished manpower compared to Valhalla's, the fact that they were still operational was mind-boggling. Toman was beyond wild. Unable to bear watching Chifuyu versus Baji any longer, you resolved to intervene.

Navigating through the frenzied throng of battling gangsters, you reached Chifuyu, Baji, and Takemichi. "Baji! We're trying to bring you back! Stop hitting Chifuyu!" you yelled, startling the boys, especially Chifuyu. Baji emitted a dark chuckle and shook his head. "Y/N, how many times do I need to repeat? I've changed. Why don't you give it a shot at stopping me, huh? Go on. Try," Baji challenged, confident in your reluctance to act against him. Even though your mind screamed disdain, deep down, you harbored lingering affection for him. Those tender moments you shared, were they genuine?

He shoved Chifuyu aside and advanced toward you. Standing mere inches away, he made no overt move to strike. He offered you an opportunity. You met his gaze with intense scrutiny, realizing why Chifuyu couldn't bring himself to attack. Yet, inexplicably, your body refused to respond. You felt utterly powerless.

The thought of striking Baji vanished as memories flooded your mind—memories of him rescuing you when you first joined Toman, of the adventures you, him, and Chifuyu embarked on, and the countless crazy escapades you shared. Biting your lip, you fought back tears, but this time, they overwhelmed you. Silently, tears streamed down your face as you gazed at his impassive expression, hoping against hope that he would revert to the carefree, thrilling days of the past.

"Do you see now? You're just like him. You two are so alike, but I'm different. We have no chemistry," Baji jeered before turning away. With closed eyes, you wept uncontrollably, the chaos around you providing a strange solace, drowning out your sorrows. Oblivious to the commotion unfolding, you focused solely on your own anguish, shutting out everything else.

The next time you saw Baji, Kazutora's attack pierced him, but he miraculously managed to stay alive. Despite the severe injury, Baji continued to fight, only to suddenly turn the blade on himself. With a haunting determination, he confessed that he didn't want to die at Kazutora's hands. The realization hit you like a punch: Baji was an angel, and his selfless act of sacrificing himself to spare Kazutora's guilt was heart-wrenching. Tragically, the two piercings proved too much for Baji, and he succumbed to his injuries.

As the reality of the situation set in, Chifuyu rushed to Baji's side, wrapping his arms tightly around his limp body. You followed, your legs trembling beneath you, and collapsed beside him, unable to contain your grief. Your tears flowed so profusely that your eyes became swollen and distorted, making it impossible to see Baji's face clearly. All you could focus on was the sight of his shirt, drenched in blood, a stark reminder of the extent of his injuries.

Your gaze was drawn to Baji's pale complexion, his skin clammy with sweat. His mouth was covered in a crimson mask, a grim reminder of the pain he had endured. But despite the dire circumstances, Baji's lips curved into a faint smile. It was a poignant moment, one that seemed to convey a sense of acceptance and resignation. As if he had finally found peace in the face of his impending demise.

The weight of the situation crushed you, leaving you feeling helpless and powerless. You couldn't bear the thought of losing Baji, and yet, it seemed like all was lost. The thought of living without him was unbearable, and yet, you knew that you had to come to terms with his passing. As you gazed at Baji's lifeless body, all you could do was weep for the loss of a true hero, a shining star who had left an indelible mark on your heart.

As the truth finally sank in, your heart shattered into a million pieces. You felt a sense of betrayal and anger towards Baji, wondering why he had carried this burden alone. Why didn't he reach out for help when he needed it? You sobbed uncontrollably, wiping away your tears even though you knew they would only return.

Chifuyu was crying just as hard as you, softly chanting Baji's name as if trying to will him back to life. But it was too late. Baji's eyes had already lost their spark, his breathing growing weaker by the second.

As he lay dying, Baji's voice was weak but full of love and gratitude. He told Chifuyu and you that you were his precious treasures, and that he loved you both so much. He asked you to stay with each other, and Chifuyu to remember his strength and not give up. You noticed Baji glance at you for a brief moment, but in the midst of the chaos, you didn't fully register the significance of the gesture.

Chifuyu tried to intervene, warning Baji to stop talking and conserve his energy. But he continued to speak, his voice fading away as he took his last breath. His body went stiff in Chifuyu's arms, and it was clear that he was gone.

You screamed Baji's name, wailing in grief as if it could somehow bring him back. You touched his cheek, feeling the coldness of death for the first time. It was a shocking realization - Baji was really gone.

As you held onto Baji's lifeless body, you couldn't help but cry out for him to come back. You begged him to open his eyes, to tell you that this was all just a dream. But it wasn't. Baji was gone, and you and Chifuyu were left with the crushing weight of grief.

The loss of Baji left a scar on both of your hearts, a wound that would take time to heal. You and Chifuyu cried together, mourning the loss of someone who had meant so much to both of you.
