You and Diluc were in battle, discarding each hilichurl you saw in the area of Monstadt.
"Seems like that's the last of them. Let's head back and go to the tavern."
You looked at him, his eyes murderous and full of despair as his iris was glistening from the sheer illumination of the radiant moonlight.
"Yes, let's." you responded as he reached out his hand, intending you to hold it.
Peacefully walking down the dusty trail, you felt rattling beneath your feet, as did Diluc. He glanced at you before grasping tightly onto his prized claymore, ready to attack whatever was hiding in the shadows. The same rattle came from your right, so Diluc moved to the right side of you and begun walking towards the bushes infront of him. It appeared to be a hilichurl.
The hilichurl aimed his bow at Diluc before he managed to set the bush aflame. Diluc ran so he could win the battle with his dodging skills, however it was too late. The hilichurl let go of the bow and watched the pointy arrow aim for Diluc's stomach. Then, he was hit.
"Oh... my god!! Diluc?!" you quickly ran to Diluc who was slowly descending to the ground on all fours.
Diluc ripped the arrow out of his chest and watched the dark crimson rivers roll down his abdomen like a waterfall on edge. His hands felt the hole that the arrow had made in his body and he groaned at the haunting pain that raised through his body.
"Diluc please. I'm going to find help. Just... just don't move!" you trembled as you stood up and ran to the nearest guard you could find.
As you left, Diluc was gradually falling onto his back, his hands still pressed against his chest. It felt like an awakening in his chest, a door, an entry to the hellish afterworld he belonged in. He felt the tearing of his stomach, his body revolting.
"Here sir, he's right there! Diluc, are you okay still? Please respond oh my god!"
His mouth was quivering, unable to give a verbal response to you. Before you knew it, his eyes shut closed and you were screaming at him to wake up.
"DILUC! Oh my god... Oh my god! Please archons, awaken!"
You calls infact did not cause him to wake up, instead the guard carried Diluc over his shoulder as he rushed to nearby medical help.
You froze as you fell to the ground, head in your hands as beads formed at your lash line, allowing rain to flow down your blushed cheeks.
You knew he was gone, your love, your life.
