It had been a couple days since they last had lunch together. Shoyo went back to ignoring Kageyama but this time it was a little different. He wouldn't even make eye contact with him, like he was a complete stranger.
Kageyama didn't like this feeling that he was having. The feeling of uncertainty and was scared of what might happen. Shoyo was the first friend he ever made in high school and he had to go and mess it up with his attitude.
He decided the best thing to do was talk to Shoyo and tell him he was sorry, so they could go back to being friends. This was a lot harder than Kageyama originally thought, he was always around people and couldn't get him alone.
He gave up on the whole idea for a little while. Until he saw Shoyo walking out of the school alone. "Hey Shoyo!" He yelled his name as soon as he saw him, Shoyo turned around to see who it was. Once he realized that it was Kageyama he turned back around and sped up his walking.
Didn't he hear me? He turned around. Was all Kageyama could think, still trying to catch up to Shoyo. "Hey Shoyo! I need to talk to you!" He yelled it a little louder, this time he knew he heard him because he stopped walking.
Finally catching up to him, he walked in front of the shorter boy. "What do you want Kageyama." He looked up at Kageyama, his stance was firm and his voice was cold, something Kageyama definitely wasn't used to. "I- I just wanted to tell you I was sorry for the way I acted the other day."
He was having a hard time gathering his thoughts, looking down at the shorter boy nervously. "I was jealous that you weren't hanging out with me. I know you have other friends that are better. But I want your attention just as much as them." He was rambling on and on, turning away from Shoyo on the verge of tears.
"Kageyama how come you're so dense?" Kageyama turned back to him, looking confused. "What do you mean dense? Are you trying to pick a fight!" Shoyo had a big smile on his face looking like the happiest person alive. "Can you come here?" Shoyo asked Kageyama to step closer to him.
Kageyama didn't hesitate doing as instructed. "Lean down." Kageyama leaned down albeit a little confused what was happening. "Close your eyes." After closing his eyes he felt lips touching his. He was shocked but melted into the kiss anyways. Getting more into it Kageyama lifted Shoyo off the ground so he wasn't bent over anymore.
Shoyo let out an audible gasp causing them to stop kissing, he was caught off guard by being suddenly lifted. "Kageyama I like you. I'm sorry for avoiding you, I didn't want you to be grossed out by my feelings. But when you said you got jealous I couldn't take it anymore." He looked straight into Kageyama's eyes hoping to be forgiven.
"I'll accept your apology after you give me another kiss." Shoyo smiled softly and gave him another kiss, this one was sweeter than the first showing that he truly was sorry. "Does this mean you'll stop being so cold to me?"
