Heavenly [Soshiro Hoshina x Reader]

Raid on the base

I laid down and Soshiro left to do some work at the base. I walked back up to the roof.
"Hey Kafka." I waved
"Oh, hey Y/N." He waved back. I walked over and stood beside him.
"Whatcha doin?" I asked
"Just came up here for some air." He answered. We both looked at the sky.

"I knew they were Kaiju..."

I watched as balls of fire fell from the sky. What the hell are these exactly...? I watched as they crashed into our buildings. What the fuck...

"Kaiju." I looked over at Kafka. Then I saw the first Kaiju. They have to be Honju class...
"Come on...we need to help." He started walking
"Hoshina here. The captains off base right now. I will be taking command of our defense. Anyone who's on night watch, report to battle stations immediately. Muster all off duty troops stat. All personnel prepare for combat." It was Soshiro

"Rodger." A girl said

"Get as many as you can then make sure none get away from the base." As he finished I was still looking around at the Kaiju.
"Vice captain." Kafka put his earpiece in
"Hey Kafka still breathing." He joked

"Yes sir. I'm with Y/N."
"Keep talking."
"Wyvern type Kaiju are typically rare. We might see a dozen in a given year. But every one to emerge till now had one factor in common. They always show up alone. This time they're attacking as a group."

"Yup. I can only think one one explanation for that." Soshiro stopped
"We're up against something with the strength to make them swallow their pride. And the intelligence, to act with purpose. There's a powerful leader on the field." He finished
"Tell Y/N I said-" I cut him off
"I can hear you loud and clear Vice-captaincy ." I smiled hoping to sound happy though I was terrified
"Don't die." Was all he said
"Same for you. I need you idiot so don't you go dying on me either." I rolled my eyes
"I wasn't planning on it. Now, I've gotta go." I heard it cutoff

"You've got a thing for the Vice-Captain~!" Kafka teased
"SHUT UP OLD MAN!" I hit him

"Are you the strongest human at this base?" The red Kaiju asked. Okay, this one can talk too.
"Well, you just missed the captain. So I guess so." I kept my signature smiled on
"I see. So it's settled. I'll have you, for my brain." It didn't have eyes but it was...staring at me

"Honju fortitude estimation complete. Eight point three sir! It's Daikaiju class!"

"Ikaruga do you copy?" I asked
"Yes sir!" He responded
"I need you to lead the fight against the Younju. First priority is keeping then within the base perimeter. Second is keeping them within the main building online. You let me worry about the-" I was cutoff by a blast being shot at my face. I dodged.

"You dodged that, you passed." It was now behind me. It tried to punch me but failed.
"Sure enough...I'll have to take you out myself." I glared at it
"Looks like...I must begin...your annihilation." Its face opened up and it...growled? The Wyvern Kaiju started responding to the cry.
"So, it's true, they are targeting the base." I dodged another punch and pulled out my swords.  I landed a few hits.
"The skins tougher than number eights..." I mumbled

"Don't shoot them from the front." Kafka said. We were both finally suiting up.
"Those guys showed up in O3. None of our ammo is gonna be able to pierce their frontal armor. Shoot them from the back!" Kafka yelled into the earpiece. We ran out of the building. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail as we ran.
