~Lily's P.O.V.~
"Lily? Lily wake up." I opened my eyes and saw my father above me.
"I'm awake."
"Good. Get dressed and come down to my office. I have a surprise for you.
"What is it dad?"
"You'll see." Father Severus got up, waved, and left the room.
I sat up and looked around. Neville was still in bed, sleeping. Madam Pomfrey was making the bed next to mine.
"Oh, you're up. Your father wants you down in his office. You can get dressed, there are some robes in the bedside table drawer." Madam Pomfrey got out her wand and flicked it. Curtains appeared around the bed I was in.
I slipped into the robes quickly and pulled back the curtains. I skipped out of the hospital wings and down to the dungeons. I knocked twice on dad's door.
"Come in."
I opened the door. Dad was leaning over a cauldron, adding something in, I think.
"Ahh... Lily. I have a present for you."
"What dad?"
Father turned around to face me. His hands were folded around something. He opened his hands up. I gasped.
"What is it?"
"It's a pygmy puff, Lily. Your pygmy puff."
"Awww! It's so cute! Is it a girl or a boy?"
"A girl. You can name it whatever you want."
"Hmm... I think I'll name it Susan Skylark, after me. Sort-of."
"That's sweet, Lily. Susan Skylark it is." Dad place Susan in my hands. Susan was so soft! She looked up at me with big, puppy dog eyes. She nudged her head against my palm and curled back up.
"Is it safe to put her on my shoulder dad?"
"I would think so. Here, let me." Dad picked Susan up out of my hands and placed her on my shoulder.
"There. How's that?"
"Great, dad. She's the best pet ever!"
"And she's only half of your surprise. Come with me. I'm taking you somewhere special."
"Where?"
"You'll see. Follow me."
Dad led me out of the castle and out to the Quidditch Pitch. Instead of going to the field, he turned and walked up a small pathway. He motioned for me to follow. We reached a cobble-stone road. Dad led me to an abbandoned-looking horseless carriage. He opened the door for me and I entered.
The carriage was purple with gold adornments. The seats were so soft I would've fallen to sleep on them. Father rolled up the windows so I couldn't see where we were going. After a short ride, he opened the door to get out.
"We're here, Lily.
"Yay! Where are we? Where are we? Where are we?" I asked excitedly. I exited the carriage and the most beautiful town caught my eye. "Where are we?" I whispered, the town so amazing I didn't know what to do. There were tons of witches and wizard walking about, looking at stores, drinking and talking together.
"Hogsmeade. One of the few all-wizard villages in England."
"It's so--" I said, searching for the right words, "magical."
"Yes." My father said, with a kind of laugh. Not a cold laugh, but a normal one. Well, as normal as dad's emotions could get. "So where do you want to go first?"
