Just like that, by the time the afternoon had come the whole class was still together. No one had been expelled by my father yet which was a good thing. But now it was time for Hero Basic training, where we finally get to try out our hero costumes and have some fun. I'm tired of Present Mic and his stupid English class.
"I am here. Coming through the door like a hero." I look up to see All Might leaning in through the door, holy shit.
All Might, the famous pro hero was our teacher. Why the hell would he come teach a bunch of kids who might not even make it. I mean I have no doubt in us, but there is still that slim chance that we don't make it.
"Welcome to the most important class at UA High. Think of it as Hero-ing 101. Here, you will learn the basics of being a pro. And what is means to fight in the name of good. Lets get into it. Today's lesson will pull no punches! But one of the keys of being a hero is... looking good." All might shouted pointing towards the walls that started to push out with box's that contained our numbers, "These were designed for you based on your quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started. Get yourselves suited up and then meet me at Training Ground Beta!"
"Yes, sir!" The class replied, and you could practically hear the excitement.
We finally got to do something fun after the long day of boring classes. It couldn't get any better. And I was stoked to finally try out my costume.
Honestly, you have to cue some awesome music when we walk out looking this great. Everyone's costumes were so cool. I mean Todoroki's left side of his body was all Ice! Super weird but super cool at the same time! I was so stoked that me and him were friends, even if he doesn't talk to me as much as I would hope for.
Oh and I mean Bakugo has grenades on his arms, how cool is that? But honestly Uraraka's costume is my favorite because it's just so pretty. And it has a perfect color combination that she just pulls off. Even if she was complaining to me that it was too tight fitting. She looked amaze.
"They say that clothes make the pros, young ladies and gentlemen and behold, you are the proof! Take this to heart. From now on you are all...heros in training! This is getting me all revved up. You look so cool. Now. Shall we get started you buncha newbies?" All might asked and I couldn't help but smile before bouncing my way over to Todoroki.
"Does that feel uncomfortable?" I ask tilting my head slightly as I eye his costume up and down.
"No." He replied in his simple none interested tone.
"Now that you're ready it's time for combat training." All might announced but before he could even speak another word of what we're doing Tenya spoke up with his hand raised.
"Sir! This is the fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean that we'll be conduction urban battles again?"
"Not quite. I'm going to move you two steps ahead. Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside. However, statistically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly evildoers take place indoors. Think about it. Backroom deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows. For this training excersise you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight two-on-two indoor battles." All might explained and I jumped from toe to toe in excitement, this sounds so fun and I could see Todoroki looking at me with the faintest smile but it left once I looked at him.
"Isn't this a little advanced?" Asui asked.
"The best training is what you get on the battlefield! But remember, you can't just punch a robot this time. You're dealing with actual people now." All might continued to explain, what robots? Oh wait this must have been on the normal entrance exam.
"Sir, will you be the one deciding who wins?" Yaoyorozu asked.
"How much can we hurt the other team?" Bakugo asked.
"Do we need to be worried about the losers getting expelled like earlier?" Uraraka asked.
"Will you be splitting us up based on chance or comparative skill?" Tenya asked.
"Isn't this cape tres chic?" Aoyama asked.
All might held out what looked to be a script so I stood on my tippy toes curious to what is going on as he started talking, "Listen up. The situation is this. The villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heros must try to foil their plans. To do that, the good guys either have to catch the evildoers or recover the weapon. Likewise, the bad guys succeeded if they protect their payload or capture the heroes. Times limited, and we'll choose teams by drawing lots!"
"Isn't there a better way?" Tenya asked but I was so excited, we randomly get a partner, which will really test our ability to work with each other.
"Think about it. Pros often have to team up with heros from other agencies on the spot, so maybe that's the reason we're seeing that here." Midoriya explained, which was in a way exactly what I was thinking, just a more complex way of saying it.
"I see. Life is a random serious of events." Tenya said and I couldn't help but roll my eyes, "Excuse my rudeness."
"No sweat. Let's draw!" All Might said.
I was so excited until I got my partner. I might actually just pass out. The last person I wanted was the person I got. Anyone else would have been better then damn Mineta! Like seriously? This is rigged.
