"Sirius... Where are you?" The familiar voice of his boyfriend (Remus lupin) ran around the cramped room, jumping from one corner to another. Sirius knew it was a dream, he had had the same dream the night before, and the night before that.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!?!" Sirius snapped at Remus who now looked shocked and angry.
"Wow is that really what you actually think of me Sirius Black? You will always find some way to disappoint those who truly love you."
Sirius sat in the corner of the tiny room, his head on his knees, crying. He knew he was going to have to wait it out, whatever this thing was, it felt like he'd already been there forever. Suddenly, he heard a blood curdling scream just a thin glass panel away. This was different, VERY different. He shot up and shivered. He woke up with regulus, his brother, next to his bed looking down on him.
"Oh uh hi." Regulus whispered.
"Hi..." Sirius replied. "Sorry if I woke you up."
"You didn't, why did you jump up like that though? Do you want to talk about it?" Regulus responded reassuringly.
"I'm fine, thanks, just a bad dream that's all..." Sirius smiled.
"If you say so... Oh and.." he cut himself off, not sure if he should say anything else.
"Yeah..? You okay reg?"
"Mhm, I was just gonna say that I'm always here for you if you need someone to talk to, I'm worried for you, you know.." he looked down at the floor, not knowing if he made the right decision.
"Thanks... I needed to hear that from someone..."
"Well try get some more sleep we are going to back Hogwarts tomorrow you need some more rest."
"Okay, I'll try."
Sirius did not in fact go back to sleep, he couldn't, not if he wanted remus to come back haunt him again. He loved Remus, dearly, but if it meant not sleeping then he wasn't sure what he was going to do. He cried, again, with his thoughts huddled up in his head, like penguins not wanting to leave the warmth of eachother. "Help..." He muttered silently under his breath, the sound echoing into the cold and icy night...
