SAMARTH RAGHAVAN MEHTA

I couldn't shake off the lingering unease that had settled within. Kriti is -elegant, talented, and a seamless fit into my sophisticated lifestyle. We shared interests, our conversations flowed effortlessly, and our companionship felt natural, I couldn't deny that. She was a perfect match for me in many ways, like everyone kept saying especially our parents and I trusted my parents instincts decided to give it a go. Things have been going good so far.

Talking about her, Kriti Kanan exudes an aura of celebrity-like elegance, with her striking beauty that commands attention effortlessly. Beyond her captivating appearance, she possesses a voice that resonates like a melodic symphony, effortlessly weaving between Carnatic and Western classical genres with flawless expertise and soul-stirring passion.

As a natural-born businesswoman, she smoothly navigates the complexities of her family's enterprise, blending traditional values with a modern entrepreneurial spirit. Kriti is a rare blend of artistic brilliance and ingenious business acumen, a testament to her multifaceted talent and unwavering dedication to excellence.

And then, there's Ammu. Seeing her today had unlocked a door to a myriad of emotions I never ever felt before which is weird but that's what I felt. Ammu, with her genuine warmth and unwavering support, had always been a constant in my life. She was more than just a friend; she was my confidante, my pillar of strength.

As we settled into our respective apartments, Kriti came up to my apartment & flopped onto the couch beside me in my room, her eyes thoughtful as she broke the silence. "You know, Ammu is nice, but sometimes she seems a bit too... simple. Don't you think?"

I blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the comment. "Simple? I think Ammu is amazing," I replied sincerely. "She's genuine and caring. She's always been there for me, and that's something I really value."

Kriti's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. "Yeah, I suppose you're right," she said lightly, brushing off the topic. "Anyway, it's good to be back. Good night, Samarth."

I asked, "You're okay right? Anything bothering you?"

Kriti shook we head and smiled, "Nothing Sam, good night." She pecked my lips, got up & walked away.

"Okay then. Good night, Kriti," I replied softly, watching her leave for her own apartment within the same building. I went to bed.

I have to do something, I need to understand why I feel like this. After a lot of tossing turning I drifted off to sleep.

Next morning I woke up and went for a jog and then after coming back home and freshening up, I saw my phone buzzing. It was Chinmay's message. He was in Mumbai for attending a family function on Shruti's side of family. He is born and brought up in Singapore like me and lives in Pebble bay in Tanjoung Rhu Road, in the same building where Ashwin, Ashwathy and Mama Mami live in. We're friends since kindergarten.

Chinmay: Yo Sam

Sam : Yo bro

Chinmay : All settled in? All well?

Sam : Yes. Bro, I need to talk to you about something.

Chinmay : Go on buddy.

Sam : Meet me at Mani's cafe in 15 minutes?
