"Pillow, I wish you'd pay attention.."

Pillow smiled and nodded, scribbling down as many notes as she could, specifically on the number of people that have been killed in the past up until the present. She paused for a moment, finally looking up , her eyes now fixed on Liy, filled with curiosity.

"So, how many people have you killed again?" She questioned, only to receive a facepalm and a sigh of irritation from the light switch. "That's...not important. You've asked me that question three times already."

"Three? That's small.." She mumbled, returning to her endless scribbling on her notepad. Liy narrowed her eyes at the pillowcase, then at her notepad, then back at her. "Pillow! This has nothing to do with the amount of people I've—YOU'VE murdered!" The volume in her tone shifted. Clearly, this was the wrong person to vent to.

Pillow gave her a glance, and went back to writing, yet again. The continuous sound of that pencil on the paper made Liy's eye twitch in anger.

..Is she serious?

"Give—gimme that." She grabbed her notepad, but tussled to get it out of her grip. After a few attempts and grunts of effort, she was got ahold of it, and tossed it above both their heads far, far away. Pillow blankly stared into the distance, watching her notepad land elsewhere. Her eyes averted back to Liy, annoyed.

"Well that was rude."

Liy brushed herself off, taking a deep breath. She clasped her hands together, glaring wide-eyed at Pillow. "THAT got you to pay attention. So will you, please?" She begged, forcing a crooked smile on her face. Though her eye was still twitching. Pillow looked her up and down, before crossing her arms. Fine, a few seconds."

"...Great! Glad to know you're not leaving me on heard this time." Pillow rolled her eyes at her sarcastic remark, already hinting with her body language that she was nowhere near interested. Liy shut her eyes, and began pacing around in circles.

"Listen, Pillow. I don't want you to think I'm still a psychotic killing machine like I was in the past. That's not me anymore. I've moved on. I can't walk around with this label attached to me like a parasite, especially on this team. I'd be looked down upon by the others for that type of foolishness. Do you..get what I'm trying to say?"

"Uh, Liy? Who are you talking to?"

The sound of a familiar voice spooked her, she snapped her eyes open, stopping in her tracks. Only to see that the voice didn't belong who she thought. From where she stood, she could see Pillow walking away to retrieve her notepad. Her hands balled into fists, seething with rage.

"Liy?" A finger tapped her shoulder. She turned to peep down at a fellow teammate of hers. Liy's shoulders immediately relaxed themselves, her frustration shrinking down to the size of a pebble. "Oh! Hi, Pie. How much of that did you hear..?"

Pie lowered her finger, slowly blinking. "I heard most of it." She shrugged. Liy sighed, hanging her head in shame. "How do you do it?"

"How do I do what?"

"Not, kill?"

Her half opened eyes widened. She stared at her, shook by the word. It was only a matter of a few seconds before Liy realized what she said, and slapped a hand over her mouth. To Death P.A.C.T, the word "kill" had become a forbidden cuss word to them. A few seconds of silence filled the air, before she continued.

"Sorry, how do you not..cause death?"

"I dunno. I never really saw myself being the type to want to do that."

"Have you ever done it in the past?"

"Mm..nope. But that's why I'm here. To help those of a homicidal mindset find their inner peace."

Liy took a good look at Pie, then glanced behind at Pillow, unamused. "Well, hopefully your mindset will get through to Pillow's. Seems like there's no saving her." She shook her head and glanced back at Pie, who seemed a bit uncaring. "Well, that sounds like a her problem, or solution. Doesn't matter to me." She muttered. "I came over here to check on you, but everything seems fine now. So..I'm going to go."

"Wait, how are you so sure of that?? You're not worried that she might do something??" Liy uttered a series of questions worriedly. Pie walked off further and further, not bothering to answer a single one of them. "You ask a lot of questions."

"I thought you guys would support me!" Liy yelled out to Pie, waving her hands through the air. "No one listens to me around here, am I just the light who cried-"

"Death!" Pillow called out excitedly, being the only one able to read the chicken scratch written on her paper. She heard Liy let out the exact same phrase that she had just said, and observed her from afar. "She really looks like she wants to strangle someone! I should write that down." Pillow thought it was ridiculously funny when Liy acted out upon her emotions, as well as anyone really. She found it rather fascinating and often wondered what they'd do next. Flipping through the pages of her close note-taking, she couldn't seem to find any information that could help her research on the benefits of death.

"Oh?" She stopped to stare. Stare at one page with red ink bleeding through it, a singular word large enough to take up the entire space. Pillow pondered if she partially listened to Liy's rant, despite most of it going in one 'ear' and out the other. The more she gazed at said word, the wider a grin spread across her face. A sudden idea popped into her head.

"I think I've found a new field of research!"
