8. Home?

Waking up to something licking my face, I let out a warning growl. Hearing a wolfy chuckle coming from somewhere I quickly opened my eyes and come face to face with blue eye's staring at me in amusement. Looking away I notice we are the only ones awake besides the ones keeping watch. Following his lead, I see Lucifer start walking away to the direction we were walking yesterday north, I think. 

Making sure I am watching where I am stepping to avoid all the fallen tree branches, I did hear him stop, and I ram right into his butt, headfirst. Quickly taking a step back I accidentally step on a branch, looking back towards Lucifer I slightly flinch but just as fast compose myself before he notices. Looking further up I make eye contact with him and this time his eyes are filled with concern. Not wanting to give him a chance to question I hurry and start to walk around him, still bracing for impact just in case he does decide to punish me for making a noise without permission. 

Hearing that all too familiar sound of snapping bones I turn around to see him signaling me to shift also. "Winter?" 

"Yeah?" she replied back immediately. 

"Should we trust him" I asked her nervously. 

"I think so, his wolf hasn't said or done anything for me to think otherwise and neither has he" she said confidently. 

"Ok, we are right about this" I said. Turning away from him slightly I shift back to my human form, feeling the wind go through my hair. Kind of regretting my decision of wearing that crop top right now. Because it is making me feel very exposed right now. 

Feeling hands grab my hips and tug me back unexpectedly I fall into the lap of the devil himself. Tensing up I can feel the vibrations in his chest as he chuckles. "Relax" He whispered in my ear, as if it is that easy. I can feel my heart racing feeling like it's going to explode out of chest, and no to mention that weird tingly feeling sending my nerves through the roof. 

And that's when I feel it, his hands start rubbing my sides making their way slowly up my sides. "Breathe" He mumbled while placing a feather like kiss to my neck. I didn't even notice I was holding my breathe. Taking a deep breathe I feel his hands go even higher to my shoulders and start rubbing them before he placed them back my hips and start placing light kisses to my exposed neck, making me relax into his touch and lean back into him exposing my neck even further giving him better access. 

Snap, I heard a branch snap to the left of us. Trying to get out of his hold fast before anyone see's us I try to stand up in a failed attempt and I am pressed further into his body hearing him let out a deep warning growl to whoever is coming near us. 

"It's just me" Jonathan says as he finally comes into view. "I was told to come and let you guys know that everyone is packed up and ready to go" he said staring at lucifer avoiding looking at me at all costs. Weird I thought. 

"You couldn't have just mind linked me" Lucifer all but growled out at him making him flinch. Causing me to grab his hand as if it was instinct and start drawing circles on the back of his hand in hopes it calms him down some. 

"Sorry Alpha King" Jonathan said bowing his head, showing him respect. Then smiling he looked up, " The guys have a bet on how long it takes you to mark your mate" He blurted out.

Then it happened so fast that Lucifer stood up with me still in his arms letting out the scariest growl I have heard in my life forcing me to stand behind him. Peaking around his shoulder I can see that Jonathan is now on his knee's baring his neck to Lucifer showing that he is submissive. And me, being the nice person I am realize that my touch calms lucifer down. So, I did the only thing I could think of and hug him from behind and kiss him on the middle of his back. Instantly feeling him lean back into me slightly and release a deep breath of air. 

"You will never disrespect my mate like that again, Now leave us. I will deal with you later" Lucifer said in his Alpha tone making Johnny stand up and take off running back to the rest of the group. 

Still hugging Lucifer from behind I feel him tap my hands, so I loosen up my grip feeling him starting to turn around slightly and pull me into a tight hug. Looking up he is already looking at me and I know if he tries to kiss me, all my self-control is out the window and there is nothing I could do to stop it even if I wanted to. Trying to think of something fast to distract him as he starts to lean down, I decide there is no better time to blurt out loud this time, "I have to pee" I all but yelled at him. Seeing him tilt his head in amusement he smiles and shakes his head. 

"Ok, then go pee." He said still smiling at me. 

This guy must be absolutely nuts if he thinks I am going to pee in front of him. Raising my eyebrow, I take a quick around trying to make my point that if I were to pee right here then everyone is going to see almost everything I have to off. 

"I'll wait till we get to where we are going" I Mind linked him while walking away back to group, who all look to be waiting on us, standing around looking at anything or anyone else but us.

 With Lucifer falling into step behind me I can feel the power he lets off making almost everyone but his most trusted to show their necks in submission, giving him the respect that he commands and has earned. 

"Let's go home" he said in his deep voice.
