I watched my gorgeous mate light a pathway of blue flames in the back of the palace, her power so raw and untamed. The sight was both awe-inspiring and deeply concerning. I stood next to Ryan and Lucas, the tension between us palpable.

"Has she ever been this out of control?" I asked Ryan, since he was her Alpha and basically her older brother.

Ryan hesitated, glancing at the flames with a troubled expression. "No, and normally the goddesses–" He paused, catching himself as if he had said too much. My curiosity piqued, and I arched an eyebrow at him.

"Goddesses?" Lucas asked for me, his voice filled with the same intrigue I felt. Did she have direct contact with the goddesses? As in the Moon Goddess? The Goddess of the Night?

Ryan sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yes, goddesses. Cairo's power isn't just inherited. The Moon Goddess and the Goddess of the Night have a vested interest in her. They've guided her, in their own ways, but recently... well, things have been different."

"Different how?" I pressed, my concern growing. The idea of divine beings having a direct hand in her life was both a blessing and a curse. It explained her extraordinary abilities but also hinted at dangers we might not fully understand. I looked back towards Cairo and watched as her hair lit up with blue flames and her body illuminated and unnatural blue light, her eyes flickering to a vibrant electric shade of blue. I grimaced as she screamed out and frustration and lit another pathway of flames. barely even keeping it in a straight line.

" she hasn't felt them, let alone even talk to them since the first attack. when she killed all those wolves without lifting a hand." Ryan said causing me to glance at him before dragging my eyes back to cairo. " sometimes I'm able to contact them, to summon them when she needs help or when she's out of control but they aren't even answering me, and I only reach out to them on the Situation's dire"
