Everest sighed, working on his homework as he rubbed his face. The Hotel was doing well...but Everest still had to do work. He just wanted to throw it out his window and flip it off. A soft knock was heard on the door. Katrina. Katrina walked in and sat next to Everest, patting his back as he spoke.
"Everest...are you okay? You haven't eaten breakfast or lunch. I'm worried..."
"I'm fine, Katrina. Trust me. Just tired since this stupid homework is making everything so much worse."
Everest's tone was full of sarcasm, dripping down from his lips as if it was some type of poison slowly killing him. Katrina's eyes widened a bit as he thought about something, grabbing something from his pocket and placing it on Everest's desk.
"What's this?"
"A paper star, Ev."
"Why?"
"Because it can help you relax...like the stars in the night sky."
That's one paper star for a collection. It was a blue one...and it actually looked...pretty. Katrina must've done a lot to make this. He...liked it. He looked up at Katrina as he smiled and left Everest's room since curfew was coming soon. Everest sighed as he examined it even more. He got up from his seat and went near the window, looking outside in the night sky as the moon shined onto him, giving him a sign of reassurance. He can do this.
The next morning, Everest groaned as he stayed up all night, doing his homework. He only got one page done. Katrina went into his room again without Everest knowing since he was asleep. Katrina sighed and picked up Everest bridal style to his bed, gently placing him on the bed and kissing his head softly, ruffling his hair as he went over to his desk, placing a red paper star on it before leaving Everest's room.
Everest woke up later on and saw the red paper star, getting up from bed and examining it, loving the texture. He only knew Katrina was the one who gave him this. He placed a kiss on the paper star, wishing it was Katrina. He also didn't notice the post-it note on his desk as he picked it up and read it.
'You fell asleep on your desk, you silly. I placed you on the bed and left the paper star for you. You just need to dream and hope you can do this. Get more rest. -Katrina.'
Everest sighed, grabbing the note and placing it on the wall full of other notes as he sat down and did his homework again. A few minutes later, Katrina walked in with some food and placed it to the side, Everest noticing and blushing slightly.
