Shidou really did have more money than he knew what to do with.

You stepped into the private suite and stopped dead in your tracks. In the centre of the room stood a mannequin adorned with one of the most beautiful dresses you had ever seen. It was black silk, clinging tight to the body until the knees before blooming into a soft train, all embellished with bright pink gemstones that sparkled under the lights. Behind it sat three women, clearly stylists, who all turned their heads the moment you walked in.

They greeted you with cheerful waves, and you instinctively waved back, a dazed smile stretched across your face.

Sae stood beside you with his hands in his pockets, nodding at the women. "I'll leave you to it," he muttered, glancing at his watch. "Try to be done in two hours."

You shot him a playful grin. "No promises~"

You were just about to throw yourself into that masterpiece of a dress when Sae paused at the door, glancing at you over his shoulder.

"You really should appreciate Shidou, you know," he said casually. "Renting out an entire dressing room inside a stadium so his girlfriend can get ready just to leave with her? That's not exactly something people do."

You blinked, caught off guard by his sincerity, but before you could say anything, he disappeared into the hallway without another word.

For a moment, all you could do was stand there.

He was right.

Shidou did a lot for you. It wasn't just the stadium room, or the assistant packing your bag, or the spontaneous five-star afterparties. It was everything. The way he always made you feel seen. Special. Like you mattered. And yeah, maybe he was chaotic and had the subtlety of a firework, but at the heart of it all—he was yours.

Your eyes stung a little, just thinking about it. If Rin hadn't pulled that bullshit, if you hadn't believed even a second of it, if Shidou hadn't proven over and over that he only wanted you...

Hell, you wouldn't even be here. If he'd typed one digit wrong that day, or if you'd ignored his dumb little text—none of this would exist.

You took a deep breath and turned back to the dress.

The three women immediately sprang into action, helping you step into the gown and gently tug it into place. They curled your hair, pinned it back, added delicate makeup and a thin gloss to your lips. All the while, you could barely stop smiling. You looked... incredible.

When you finally stepped in front of the full-length mirror, your hands covered your mouth in disbelief. "I—I'm speechless," you whispered, smoothing the gown over your hips. "I look—"

"—Like a goddess," one of the stylists cut in smoothly.

You laughed through your hands. "You guys are unreal. Seriously."

"Please," said another one with a grin. "Shidou's lucky he snagged someone like you. He practically begged us to make you look like a queen."

"You didn't even need us, to be honest," the third woman added. "But he was very clear: 'Make her look so good she could kill a man on sight.' Direct quote."

You laughed harder, shaking your head. "You're all dangerous for my ego, I swear."

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

All heads turned.

The door cracked open, and in peeked a very familiar mop of blonde hair and sharp teeth. "Hellooo? Can I co—" Shidou froze as soon as he saw you. His jaw quite literally dropped.

The three women exchanged knowing looks and immediately scampered out of the room without a word.

You smiled, folding your hands together. "Hey."

Shidou stepped inside, looking like he'd been hit in the chest with a wrecking ball. "Woah—hey. I... what the fuck, Y/n." He ran a hand through his hair. "You're so fucking gorgeous I might actually die."

You met him halfway and wrapped your arms around his neck. "Thank you, baby. You look so handsome too~" you whispered against his lips.

His arms slid around your waist, fingers grazing every curve like he needed to memorize it all over again. He kissed you—short, deep, and with so much restraint it almost hurt.

He pulled away with a dazed chuckle. "We gotta go now or I'm gonna get hard and ruin these slacks."

You smacked his arm playfully as he looped an arm around your waist and led you toward the exit.

Your heels clicked softly in the hallway, echoing in the quiet. "Are we the only ones left?" you asked.

"Yeah. Everyone else left an hour ago," he said. "Sae stayed just to make sure you had time."

You pressed a hand to your chest. "That's really sweet. You didn't have to wait."

Shidou scoffed. "You're hilarious, Y/n. As if I'd ever leave you behind. I'd sleep on the pitch in my kit if you asked."

You smiled up at him, resting your head briefly on his shoulder as you approached the main doors.

"What did I do to deserve you?" you muttered.

And there stood Sae.

Wearing a wine-colored suit, hands in his pockets, leaning casually against the wall like the world hadn't just watched an insane football match unfold.

"Took you long enough," he said, eyes flicking to Shidou.

"A princess needs her time," you shot back, sticking your tongue out.

"That time was well spent," Shidou added shamelessly, "because when I saw her just now, I swear to God I almost came on the spot—"

Sae cleared his throat so aggressively you actually jumped.

You broke into hysterical laughter, holding onto Shidou's jacket to keep your balance. "I swear, I can't take you anywhere."

"I'm just honest," Shidou grinned. "What, you want me to lie about being bricked up?"

"Bricked up in a Prada suit," Sae deadpanned. "Wonderful. Remind me again why I decided to supervise this?"

Shidou threw him a wink. "Because you love me."

"I regret it every day."

Just then, a sleek black car pulled up at the exit. Sae nodded toward it. "That's our ride. Best behaviour, yeah?"

You and Shidou both straightened up dramatically, mock saluting.

"Yes sir," you said in unison.

Sae sighed. "God help me."
