One day, the living room buzzed with warmth as Shubman and Keerthy enjoyed a quiet evening together. The soft glow of the lamp cast a cozy ambience, creating the perfect backdrop for their shared moments. As they settled on the couch, immersed in a comfortable silence, Keerthy's phone rang, breaking the tranquil atmosphere.

She glanced at the caller ID and noticed it was Jack Antonoff, her collaborator in the music industry. Answering the call, she listened attentively to the conversation, her expressions transitioning from curiosity to a subtle mix of surprise and concern.

Shubman, sensing the shift in Keerthy's demeanour, inquired, "Everything okay, love?"

Keerthy sighed, meeting Shubman's gaze. "Jack just called. There's some unexpected work in LA, and they need me to be there for about a month. It's quite sudden."

Shubman's brows furrowed in a mix of understanding and concern. "A month? That's a long time. What about us?"

Keerthy nodded, realizing the impact of the news. "I know, Shubman. It's tough, especially after we've just been reunited. But this is a big opportunity for my career, and I don't want to miss out."

Shubman, though disappointed, smiled in support. "Hey, I get it. Your music is important, and I want you to succeed. We'll figure it out, no worries."

Keerthy appreciated Shubman's understanding but sensed a trace of something more beneath the surface. "You seem a bit off. Is everything okay on your end?"

Shubman hesitated for a moment before opening up, "It's just... I'm gonna miss you a lot. And, well, we've been through the whole long-distance thing before, and it's not easy."

Keerthy reached for Shubman's hand, squeezing it reassuringly. "I know, and I'll miss you too. But here's an idea—what if you come with me? Spend the month in LA. We can explore the city together, and it won't feel like we're so far apart."

As the weight of the unexpected trip settled in the room, Keerthy's offer hung in the air, creating a palpable tension mixed with anticipation. Shubman, his initial surprise giving way to a thoughtful expression, took a moment to process the proposal.

"You want me to come to LA with you?" Shubman repeated a mixture of disbelief and excitement in his voice.

Keerthy nodded, her eyes reflecting a genuine eagerness. "Yes, Shubman. I mean, if you're up for it. We can turn this into an adventure. Explore a new city together, make memories, and it won't feel like we're separated by miles."
