Tranika could feel her nerves tightening as she made her way to her room, knowing that Adhiraj would be there, likely seething about what had happened today. She had been the one to stop him from confronting the MLA, and now the consequences of that decision loomed over her.
She opened her bedroom door cautiously and stepped inside. Before she could even take a breath, Adhiraj was upon her, pinning her to the wall with a swift, almost predatory movement. Her hands were trapped above her head, his grip firm but not painful.
"Adhiraj," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly.
His eyes, dark and intense, bore into hers. The anger was palpable, but so was something else-something deeper, more protective. "Do you have any idea how dangerous that was?" he growled softly, his breath warm against her cheek.
Adhiraj's voice trembled with a mixture of anger and anguish as he stepped closer to Tranika, his eyes burning with an intensity she had never seen before. "What if you were the one to get kidnapped?" he demanded, his breath coming in sharp bursts. "The very thought of it is enough to break me apart. Seeing even a single scratch on your body would burn my soul."
Tranika stood her ground, her expression a blend of defiance and regret. "Adhiraj, I-" she started, but he cut her off, his frustration spilling over.
"Do you even understand what that means?" he continued, his voice rising. "I told you to let me handle that MLA, but no, you were so stubborn." His hands clenched into fists at his sides, his knuckles white. "You never listen, Tranika. You never think about the consequences." His voice broke, and he reached out, gently cupping her face in his hands. "I can't lose you, Tranika. Not like this. Not ever."
The room seemed to close in around them, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air. Tranika felt a tear slip down her cheek, but she didn't move to wipe it away. Instead, she placed her hand over his, feeling the warmth of his touch.
"I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "I didn't think-"
Adhiraj didn't let her finish her sentence. In one swift motion, he reached out, capturing her lips with his own in a demanding, fervent kiss. The intensity of his actions left no room for hesitation or doubt, his hands gently but firmly cradling her face as he poured all his pent-up emotions into that one electrifying moment. His lips moved against hers with a fervor that spoke volumes, silencing her words and replacing them with a surge of shared desire and unspoken passion.
Tranika tapped Adhiraj's shoulder, breathless from their intense kiss. Reluctantly, he released her lips, and she sank her head onto his chest, feeling the frantic beat of his heart.
"I'm fine, Aadi. Nothing happened to me, and Niti is safe too. Calm down, please," she whispered, trying to soothe his evident anxiety.
Adhiraj's hands cupped her face gently, his gaze intense. "What did you call me?"
