PRINCESS RHAELLA TARGARYEN, firstdaughter of Daemon Targaryen and mother unknown. Born on the coldest night of winter in 114 AC, a month before Jacaerys Velaryon. The girl was nicknamed Daughter of Winter.
Unfortunately her father, Daemon Targaryen, had abandoned her at 2 years old. Making her the adopted daughter of Alicent Hightower. Which she never complained about since she would spend most of her time with Aemond. Yet she did have a soft spot for the sons of Rhaenyra Targaryen, Jacaerys Velaryon and Lucerys Velaryon, aswell as her. If Aemond couldn't hang out with was rare for these 2, she would go hang out with Rhaenyra's boys aswell as sometimes Helaena Targaryen, only daughter of Alicent and Viserys.
The rumour of her unknown mother being a witch spread quickly through King's Landing when the peasants found out how old the girl was. Supposedly she was 8 but looked much older, plus was much mature then the kids her age. Maybe that was just because she was royalty she learnt to mature fast, or maybe it was because of her father leaving her.
The girl tried her best to block out the rumours, which she did, most of the time.
Rhaella Targaryen would spend most of her days with Aemond Targaryen. You couldn't seperate the two, maids in the castle sometimes laugh to Alicent about how their hands were sown together. When the two were together you would see them mostly sneaking around King's Landing or under the Weirwood tree, sometimes in its branches.
They had the best friendship, a friendship where you couldn't have one without the other.
As the girl began to get older, she knew how she could get her own way, by her innocent looks, by her size. She would play monthly pranks on her family, especially Aegon. I mean have you seen that boy? One time Rhaella and Aemond decided to shave his little moustache which he was apparently growing out. The 2 had saved his life that day as he looked like an old man with the moustache. Rhaella and Aemond were then put to blame but Rhaella lied their way out of it by saying "he probably didn't even remember doing it because of the memory blanks alcohol causes."
The girl also learnt when she was 5, fire could not burn her. After an incident where she accidentally set a tree on fire after running around with a torch through the darkness of the forests trying to catch a cat, she climbed up the burning tree, quickly grabbing the lost cat. When she got home, she learnt she had no sign of burns on her skin.
Peasants and villagers would often describe Rhaella as ruthless and thriving for the adventure, which was definetly true but she'd never admit her ruthlessness.
Rhaella Targaryen titled as Heart of the dragons got her dragon — Mercury, at age 4. Claiming her as a fellow friend, not a servant.
Finally the gods flipped a coin for the Targaryen girl, having the kingdom hold its breath.
