Project For Mayora

The Call

It's a fine afternoon here in my office, nothing much to do, just finishing up these projects that were given to me a few months ago from a client of mine. I look up the clock to check what time it is, and to my surprise it's only 3 pm "too early for me to go home" I thought. I look around my table and office trying to find something to do and waste my time with, I noticed the messy stack of paperwork placed on my sofa "maybe that could do a little fixing" I thought staring at it.

*Knock*

I was just about to stand when I heard a knock on my door "come in!" I answer, I walk towards the sofa to fix the messily stacked paperwork's "Archi someone called asking for you, they say it's from the mayor's office of Bambam Tarlac, asking if you could design something for them, it's kind of personal daw kaya they want to know kung when ka free to talk in person daw with the mayor since it's their personal request daw po" my secretary Kianah tells me while placing another stack of paperwork on my table, I look at her with furrowed expression "who might this mayor be? why ask for me eh marami namang mga architect sa tarlac why me pa?" I ask "I don't know Archi eh, basta yun lang sinabi sa call, mag email rin daw sila tonight for the brief details nung want ni mayor daw na design pati mga contacts nya para ma arrange nyo daw personally yung sched nyo, as much as possible daw this weekend sana para medyo free rin daw si mayor" she responded and proceed to leave the room.

I continue on what I was doing, fixing the messy paperworks with the thought of the mayor's call asking for me, I mean why naman need pa dumayo from Tarlac to Bulacan just to design something for them eh ang rami namang architect sa Tarlac, tas kung something special pala sakanya why not ask for someone famous then like si Archi Adrian Gonzalez or Sofia Manansala from their province, mas magaling pa sakin yung mga kabatch ko na yun ah parehas rin naman kami ng educational background why ask for me pa talaga eh busy ako mag relax dito sa office ko.

After having much thought sa utak ko and since done na ako sa pag aayos ng mga gamit sa office, nilibot ko na ata lahat ng sulok nito, ay umupo na ako sa chair ko trying to relax but as I was about to close my eyes ay naramdaman ko na nag vibrate yung phone ko, I picked it up and look at the caller ID but it's just a number I just accepted the call maybe it's someone important or that mayor na pa special, "Hello, sino po ito?" I ask, there was silence from the other line until... "Ay nag accept na pala haha, hello? Is this Architect Y/N Abalos, I'm mayor Alice Guo my secretary called your office earlier today about my request project" she responded, hala ang cute ng boses hehe kalma self "Uhm yes po mam that's me po, my secretary also tells me na you want to schedule a meeting to discuss the project personally, I already checked my schedule na po and I'm free the whole sunday to monday po" I responded there was a hmm before she speaks again "that's great to hear archi Sundays good, tho maybe around 9 am here in my office if okay sana sayo? mahirap kasi iwanan mga tao dito eh baka may kagulahan wala ako kawawa naman ang mga tao namin hehe" she asked politely, shocks ang cute talaga "ah yes madam pwede naman po ako pumunta dyan since free naman po ako, sa mayor's office na lang po ako diretso then ask for you na lang sa secretary nyo noh? I'll also bring some sample design BTW ano po bang kind ng structure yung gagawin mam?" I explain to her "Mansion yung ipapadesign ko archi and yes thank you  kung mag dadala ka ng sample designs since hindi pa talaga ako decided kung anong design want ko that would help mo so much" she replied cheerfully, I chuckled on what she just said mukhang masiyahing tao si mayora haha, We just proceed to have a formality talk after that nag tanong about basic personal info nag exhange ng email address and home address then we ended the call na.

"This mayora looks like a good person naman makapag background check nga later" I thought to myself, I take a glance on my windows and it's dark na outside then I check the clock to see that's it's already 7 pm na time to go home na talaga for sure, Nakisabay na rin yung grumbled ng tyan ko hayst nakakatamad mag luto maybe daan na lang ako ng Jollibee for dinner. I proceed to close the blinds na then turn off my electrical devices and locked the door of my office, say my goodbyes to the personnels, colleagues and security guards of the building head to my car and goes to the nearest Jollibee branch from my house.

After I pick up my order I head straight home then eat, habang nag didigest yung food sa tyan ko nag decide muna ako mag binge watch ng 9-1-1 after 5 episode siguro I started to feel sleepy na kaya nag prepare na ako mag skin care ang tagal ko siguro dun mga 20 products ba naman gamitin eh syempre hindi pwedeng brains lang, dapat itsura rin hahaha.

Nakahiga na ako sa bed ko ngayon mga 11:35pm na nag scroll lang ako sa cellphone ko dun then just as I was about to put my phone down ay may biglang nag text.
