Summary: Marlena is pregnant but there is a complication with the baby, john is there for his wife.

Chaper one.

Marlena was in hers and John's bathroom.

Marlena grabbed the pregnancy test that was tucked away in the back of their bathroom cabinet.

Marlena wanted to know, though, even if there was a chance she would be disappointed.

Marlena peed on the stick.

She sat the test stick down on the bathroom counter.

Two minutes later the letters printed across the window,  P-r-e-g-n-a-n-t.

Marlena stood there as she was staring at the test with wide and already tear-filled eyes.

Marlena tucked the positive pregnancy test into the drawer and then she went downstairs to the kitchen.

Marlena promised john that she'd have dinner on the table when he got home, and she didn't want to back out on that.

Marlena started preparing the food she couldn't help the emotions that were seemingly uncontrollable

Tears still fell, and every now and then she wiped a few away.

John walked in the door and he was smiling when he smelled the food that was sitting in the oven waiting for them to eat.

"Dinner smells good.

John said as he saw his wife sitting on the couch, he sat down next to her.

Marlena drew in a deep breath, letting it out slowly.

"There's something I have to tell you.

Marlena said as she lifted her eyes to look at her hospital.

Okay.

John said to his wife.

I took a pregnancy test before she came home and It was positive.
Marlena hold her husband.

"What?

John asked as his heart was racing and his chest was tight as her words sunk in.

Had he heard her right?,were they really expecting a baby?.

I'm pregnant, john.

Marlena told him.

"Are you sure?.

John asked.

I'm sure.

Marlena replied.

Marlena and john looked into each other's eyes, they couldn't believe that they were going to be parents. They were going to have a baby.

John kissed marlena hard on the lips and pulled her into a hug.

We're having a baby.

John whispered into marlena's ear as he placed his hand on her stomach and then he kissed her abdomen.

I can't wait until I can feel our child inside of you.

John told his wife.

I can't wait, marlena told him as she placed her hand on her stomach.

John rested his hand atop hers.

I love you.

Marlena told her husband.

I love you, too, sweetheart.

John told his wife.

They want to the kitchen and eat their dinner.
