"And last... but certainly not least... the jumping high scores!"

Meanwhile/present:

This was it! I'd finally find out how I did!

"For show jumping... in third place... Camille of Legacy Academy!!!!" A giant cheer. "And in second place..."the announcer gave a few seconds to add extra seconds. "Vanessa of Legacy Academy!!!" The crowd gives another giant cheer. "And finally... in first place..." I suck in a breath. "Lauren of Legacy Academy!!!!"

I did it!!!! Yes!!!

Me, Renee, and Abbie were hugging while jumping up and down in excitement.

After grabbing our medals from the judge stand, all of the top three winners for my the contests stood on the platforms to take pictures for the press.

All of Legacy Academies teams went to the other side of the stables where our top instructor made an announcement.

"Amazing job everyone. This is one of our top best shows! We had almost every top slot filled with a Legacy Academy competitor!" Everyone cheered. "And better yet, all of you got some of your top highest scores! So to celebrate I will be buying everyone dinner for the ride home!" Everyone cheers again. "And we are going to get pizza!"

The next day Mrs. Robert's came with an announcement, "as you all know, I am way over due with choosing team captains. And after yesterday's amazing job I've finally decided!"

The arena was silent except for the noise of humming fans and the breathing of the horses.

"For team one, the captain is Vanessa... and for team two we have Lauren!" Mrs. Robert's announces. I got team captain!

"Now go cool down your horses, and get all of your school work done." She dismissed us.

"Ready for the sleep over?" Renee asks me as we walk our horses to the cooling rack.

"Very" I was. This was my first Legacy Academy sleep over!

"Every one is bringing something to contribute, I sent out the sleep over group chat to everyone so that we don't all bring the same thing" Renee explained.

"And I thought that I was supposed to be the organized one" I joke.

Once we reached the wash rack and cooled down our horses we went our self ways to put our horses in our stalls.

I hear my phone ring and pull it out.

- Sleep over group chat -

Sahila: I've got the Oreos!

Abbie: I have the candy! 🍫

Amoy: I'll bring the movie choices!!!

Renee: any ideas?

Amoy: prolly some Halloween ones since Halloween is getting closer.

Abbie: how about hocus pocus!

Isabelle: yes! 👍

Me: I agree

Amoy: I'll still take some more ideas just in case

Lily: are we doing Mac overs? If so I've got you all covered!

Me: yes! I've got the pizza! Any flavor ideas?

Abbie: olives! 🫒

Amoy: yes!

Renee: cheese

Lily: Canadian bacon! 🥓

Sahila: pepperoni!

Me: got it!

I have a feeling that this was going to be an interesting night. Then my phone dinged. Amoy.

- Amoy -

Amoy: we need to talk! Stat! Library right away! Get dressed and changed!

Me: I'll text Seth that I'm headed to my dorm and I'll meet you as soon as possible!
