With a shivering body, Tanya entered the taxi, still reeling from the shock of discovering the truth. For all these months, she had been living in ignorance, and her marriage had been nothing but a charade.
"Where to, ma'am?" the driver asked, noticing her distress.
"Raichand Industries," Tanya replied, her voice cold and resolute.
The driver nodded and started the car. Tanya pulled out her phone, opened Google, and typed the name of the medicine Ryan had been taking. As she read the article, her shock deepened.
"Today, that man has to answer everything," she muttered, clutching her phone tightly.
The taxi stopped in front of Raichand Industries. Tanya paid the driver and marched inside with determination. Rose, the receptionist, was taken aback by Tanya's furious demeanor.
As she reached his floor, Tanya walked toward Ryan's cabin, but a voice stopped her from behind.
"Tanya, Ryan is not here," Derik informed.
"Where is he?" she asked coldly.
"Before that, I need to speak with you. Please come," Derik gestured toward his cabin. Tanya nodded blankly and followed him.
"Tanya, I know what happened at the party. But every story has another side," Derik said, looking at her intently.
Tanya stood quietly, her eyes fixed on him.
"All I need to say is... Ryan is a good man. Please don't leave him," Derik implored.
Tanya glanced at Derik, her expression hardening. "I think there's a reason behind his every act. A very serious reason. So don't believe everything you see."
"But he said he loves Olivia and doesn't need me as his wife," Tanya stated.
"I know, but Ryan is your husband and..."
"Ryan or Andrew?" Tanya interrupted. Derik's eyes widened in shock.
"Wh-what did you say?" His heart raced.
"I asked whether my husband is Ryan or Andrew," she repeated calmly.
Derik gulped, searching for an excuse. He then started laughing nervously. Tanya frowned.
"Oh my God, Tanya... What happened to you? Where did this Andrew come from?" He stopped upon seeing Tanya's rage.
"STOP MAKING ME A FOOL FOR GOD'S SAKE," she shouted in agony, causing Derik to flinch.
"Stop this act, bhai. I know everything." Derik's face paled.
"Ho-how?" he asked.
Tanya explained how she saw Ryan at the hospital, entered the doctor's cabin, and found the red file.
"I know you have a part in this too," she said, standing in front of him.
"Please tell me, bhai. I can't live in a world of lies anymore. Please," she cried and begged.
Derik rubbed her tears and made her sit on the couch. He then handed her a bottle of water and a tissue to wipe her face.
"Tanya, I think it's time to reveal the truth because the game we started is coming to an end." Tanya looked at him in confusion.
"It all started seven years ago..."
FLASHBACK STARTS
"Ryan, Ryan, Ryan! Andrew, Andrew, Andrew!" the students screamed, cheering for their favorites. Derik, annoyed, headed to the green room.
"Hey Ryan, pass me the helmet," Andrew called while tying his sports shoes. Ryan smiled and handed him the helmet.
