Engfa's POV

P'Sun is right, I've been on edge recently about everything—Liam, Jack, and even Charlotte. At some point, I have to tell her about Italy, which terrifies me, but not as much as admitting that I love her.

"Engfa, are you listening to me?" Charlotte's voice snaps me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry, cute eyes, what did you say?" I ask and glance in the rearview mirror to see Olivia looking out the window, not paying attention to us.

"I asked if there's anything I should know about your parents, like if there's anything specific I should be doing."

We're on our way to my parents' house right now, and this whole drive, I've been out of it. They asked to meet Charlotte two days ago, so now we're going over for dinner tonight.

Charlotte thought it would be better if we didn't bring Olivia, but I wanted her here too. "No, just be yourself, love." I glance at her, and she nods.

"Are you okay?" she asks after a few seconds, catching me off guard. I see my parents' house in view, so I park in front of it, turn off the car, and face Charlotte.

"I-I'm scared," I breathe out. "I'm scared of losing you." She grabs my face and brings it closer to hers.

"Is this about Italy?" she questions, her lips hovering over mine. I nod, and she kisses me. We pull away quickly since Olivia is in the car.

"I can wait, sweetheart. Whatever it is that happened there, I know you're a good person, so it's not going to change anything."

"I'm hungry," we hear Olivia from the back, and I let out a chuckle. I nod towards Charlotte and get out. First, I get Olivia out of her car seat and then open Charlotte's door. I hold Charlotte's hand with Olivia in my arms, and we walk to the door.

"I'm nervous," Charlotte says as I knock on the door.

"Don't be, they already love you," I reply, and she smiles. The door opens, and my mom has a big smile on her face.

"Mom, this is Charlotte, as you already know, and this is our daughter, Olivia," I gesture to both of them.

"It's so nice to officially meet you as Engfa's girlfriend," she says to Charlotte and then turns to Olivia. "You are just as beautiful as your mom." Olivia starts giggling, and my mom gestures for all of us to come in.

My mom takes Olivia from me and drags her and Charlotte away. I stand by the door and look outside. I asked P'Sun to look for Jack, but it's like he's vanished, and the same goes for Liam.

I'm scared. I'm scared that something is going to happen to Charlotte and Olivia. I need to figure something out quickly before P'Sun decides to call Italy. I have a feeling it wouldn't matter if he calls or not, they'll probably come here soon if I don't go and visit.

Plus, if he does call, it's his ass on the line too. She literally locked me in a room for three days to teach me how to get out of handcuffs, and that was only the handcuffs. I don't even want to get started on tape and the other things.

I can't imagine what she would do to P'Sun once she finds out I might be in danger and he didn't tell her sooner. At least they both know about Charlotte, so if they do come here, that wouldn't be a surprise.

I close the door and lean on it for a second. For some reason, this whole situation is bringing back bad memories. The scars on my stomach feel like they're burning, and it hasn't felt like that in a while.

Maybe I should call Italy. They both will come down here angry and maybe try to kill P'Sun and me. Mostly me, but at least they will be here.

I take a deep breath. Tonight is not the night to think about this stuff. I stop leaning on the door and make my way to the living room.

The dinner actually went okay. My dad was super nice, which is still unusual, and he and Olivia seemed to have bonded over Legos. I can tell both my parents love Charlotte, and she seemed to have also enjoyed tonight.

She's been quiet, though. She talked with my parents a lot, but she seemed off. We're driving back to my house right now. They're both staying the night.

The drive to my house doesn't take long. When we get there, I see Olivia is sleeping, so I take her out and put her head on my shoulder.

"I'm going to put her to bed," I whisper to Charlotte, and she nods.

One of my guest rooms is basically Olivia's room now. I gently put her down and kiss her forehead. I leave the door ajar and walk back downstairs to see Charlotte sitting on the couch.

I sit next to her, and we're both silent.

"You called Olivia ours," she suddenly says.

"What?" I ask, confused.

"When you introduced us, you said our daughter." It takes me a second to realize what she is saying.

"Oh, I'm so sor—"

"Don't apologize," she says, tears in her eyes.

"I was broken. I never thought after Liam I would be able to have something good in my life. Have someone that cares so much about Olivia and me, but you prove me wrong every day."

I grab her hands, and she moves to my lap.

"She's your daughter too, our daughter," she whispers, and I hug her tight. I love this woman so much.

My eyes catch a piece of paper on the table, so I reach out with Charlotte on my lap and grab it.

"Here, look over this." I give her the paper and watch her expressions carefully.

"I-is this how much money you make monthly?" she asks, surprised after a minute, and I nod.

"How? I didn't know you could make this much by having a club."

I take a deep breath and wrap my arms around her waist to bring her closer on my lap.

"I have a business in Italy," I say slowly. That's all I can say for now. Baby steps. I need to start somewhere.

I can tell she wants to ask what kind of business but doesn't.

"What else is in Italy?" she asks instead.

"I have a house; it's bigger than this one. Maybe I can take you one day," I reply, and she smiles.

"When's the last time you went to Italy?"

"Remember when we first met, and you ignored me for like two weeks, and then we saw each other at my club again?" She nods and rolls her eyes.

"I went to Italy during those two weeks. I was there for like a week and a couple of days."

She hums and pecks my lips. I know she probably has a hundred questions, but she doesn't say anything.

A silence falls around us, and we're just holding each other.

"I have a date planned for us on Saturday," Charlotte says.

"Do you now? Where?"

"It's a surprise. I'm going to drive us to it." I smile at her and kiss her cheek. Maybe on this date, I can finally tell her that I'm in love with her.
