Prologue

Hey guys, welcome to my new AshxSerena! I completed my first book, and LeonxReader today, so if you're interested you can check it out! I sat on the couch in my mom's house since mine was being remodeled and would be done in a week, as watched in anticipation as the TV camera recorded the live battle between Ash and Leon, the finals of the World Coronation Series, taking place in Wyndon Stadium in Galar. If Ash won, he would be the new monarch of the series, and given the title 'Champion of the Champions '. I prayed from the bottom of my heart that Ash would win. 

Announcer: "The tension is getting tight! Both champion's are on their last pokemon, and they both got knocked down. Both trainers are praying that their pokemon will get up and recover themselves from the battle."

"Serena, how's the battle going? Is Ash winning?" My mother asked as she walked into the living room with a bowl of popcorn.

"I'm not sure, both Leon and Ash's pokemon are knocked out. I guess it depends on which one of them is able to get up. Pikachu got knocked out earlier, so Ash was forced to send out his tired Greninja," I replied, my eyes still glued to the screen.

Announcer: "Both Leon's Charizard and Ash's Greninja are starting to get up. Greninja is weak but has steadied itself, and is waiting for Charizard to steady itself."

"Charizard isn't going to make it," I said, noticing how Charizard was having a very difficult time. The camera zoomed in to show Charizard's tired head, and Leon's worried expression.

Suddenly, a crash is heard in the stadium, as the camera zooms in to show a collapsed and over exhausted Charizard on the battlefield. The crowd gasps in shock, and applause is heard.

"CHARIZARD IS UNABLE TO CONTINUE, WHICH MEANS THAT ALOLAN CHAMPION ASH IS THE WINNER! ASH IS THE NEW MONARCH!!" Dan, the official series referee announced, and was met with loud applause.

Announcer: "Looks like it is the end of this battle. The undefeated galarian Champion Leon finally met his match, and Ash barely escapes with a new title!"

"YES!!! ASH DID IT!!!!" I said, screaming and jumping on the sofa like a sugar-high preschooler. 

"I always knew he had an exciting and fulfilling future ahead of him. Ash is probably going to be very busy now. He is the monarch of the series, the alolan champion, and a CEO of Ketchum Associations, a company that his mom handed over to him recently." My mom said, smiling. "Anyway, Serena, go outside near the forest and train. You are the current top coordinator in Sinnoh, but you will be competing for the title of Kalos Queen soon. You should go practice your routine. Also, along the way, please drop this off for Carson and check in on Amour Cooperations. You've done a great job recently in managing the family company, I'm very proud of you." My mom said, handing me a bag and my already packed backpack, the one I kept my essentials in and brought with me everywhere, while turning off the TV right when Ash was shown shaking hands with Leon.

"Alright mom, I got it," I said, as I took the stuff from her and bolted out the door. It was currently 4:30 pm, and I had to get everything done.

"Come back before 9!!" My mom called as I slammed the door. 

"Alright!!" I called back before I left.

As I walked to the company, I took out my Rotomphone to scan on the security door as my pass. I walked up to Chairman Carson's office, I was still thinking of the battle I had just watched, and my heart swelled with pride knowing Ash had won. While I walked, I noticed the interns sitting at their desk had their eyes glued to the TV where they watched the ceremony of Ash receiving the official title.
