"Today church was nice." My dad said to Joseph.
"Thank you." Navia dad said.
"I'll be back." Navia said to her parents and they nodded their heads.
I then was about to follow her but Joesph stopped me.
"Where are you going?"
"U-uhm, to get my phone. I left it." I said and he looked at my mom.
"Be quick." He said letting me and I walked forward.
I then went up the stairs following Navia and she was turning the lights off.
"Wayne." She said with a smile and I kissed her.
"You have smeared lipstick everywhere." I said and she looked shocked.
"Really?" She asked and I nodded my head, "I'll fix it in the car." She said.
We then walked downstairs together and then her parents looked and seen me.
"It was nice seeing you Wayne." Her father said and I nodded my head.
"Okay we have to go now. Wayne has a dinner party to attend."
"Oh okay." Lenny said.
"Let's go Wayne." My father said and I walked away.
NAVIA
Once we got in the car I noticed my lipstick was indeed smeared.
I then wiped it and my dad sighed, "Why was your lipstick messed up when you came back from the bathroom?" He asked.
"Oh I'm not sure, I must've accidentally wiped it." I said.
"You know that's funny because when Wayne came from the bathroom a few seconds after you, he had the same red smeared stuff on his face." He said and my eyes widened.
"D-dad I have no idea what you're talking about."
"You sure?" He said looking at me.
"No dad." I said and he sighed.

"Is that all he ask?" Wayne asked.
"Yes." I said, "When I came from the back from the bathroom he was death staring me."
"I'm sorry about that."
"Navia, I don't think I wanna hide this anymore."
"Me either but you know how they will react."
"I know, but I just really wanna be with you publicly." He said and I sighed.
"I promise soon." I said.
"Alright i have to go to this stupid dinner party."
"What's it for?" I asked.
"About my business in the future. They're trying to help me get started."
"Already? What about college?"
"They teach college stuff to you in high school already, so we don't really need it."
He said and I nodded my head.
"Okay i have to go, I love you."
"I love you more." I said and we hung up.
"Navia." I heard my mom say and I got up and walked to the living room.
"Yes?"
"Wanna come to the store with me?"
"Sure." I said and i went in my room to put a hoodie and short leggings on with some socks and slippers.
I then walked out and we went in the car.
"You know that Wayne guy is pretty handsome."
"Mom, no don't." I said.
"You guys would be cute together but I'm just afraid he'll disrespect you."
"He won't ever do that, he loves me." I said and she was silent for a minute.
"You know.. best friends love each other." I said and she nodded her head.
"Hm well I just hate how he disrespects his parents. It talks about that in the Bible. That you shouldn't do it."
"I know mom." I said, "I also heard he does drugs."
"Mom have you seen these things yourself?"
"Well him being disrespectful, yes. But the drugs, no."
We then made it to the store and we got out and started walking around.
I then went into a different isle then her and i grabbed a bag of chips with an orange Fanta.
Before i can leave it, i see Rain.
"What's up Navia." He said and I smiled.
"Hi Rain."
"What are you doing here?"
"Well a shopper like everyone else." I said and he chuckled.
"Yeah sorry, that was a dumb question." He said.
"Ready for the track meet tomorrow?"
"Yeah, a little nervous." I said.
"Don't be. You run really fast. Might run even faster than me." He said and i laughed.
"Navia." I heard my mom say.
"I have to go now, bye rain." I said.
"Bye Navia." He said.
I then walked away and went back to my mom, "Do you eat these grapes?"
"Yes mom, but can you get these?" I said and she got both of them.
"So me and your father will be at your track game, along with Wayne's parents."
"Great." I said with a fake smile.
"Okay, let's go." She said and we paid for the stuff and left out.
"Are you hungry? I could stop and get you some food."
"No thanks mom."
"Okay, well I have to pick up some food anyways for dinner tonight." She said.
We then drove to this restaurant, "Do you wanna come or stay in the car?"
"I'll stay in the car." I said and she nodded her head, "It would've been nice if you would've came with me. You know when you were a kid you used to-"
"I'm coming mom." I said getting out of the car.
"Great!" She said and we walked inside.
We then walked all the way in, but I was on my phone the entire time.
"Thank you." I heard my mom said, "Pearl!" I heard a lady said but I didn't care.
"Navia, look who's here." My mom said and I sighed and looked up.
It was Wayne, and he was with a group of people.
"Oh my gosh." I said putting my hood on and walking away.
"Navia." I heard my mom called but I ignored her.
I then went in the car and just felt embarrassed.
Oh my gosh. He was there and just staring at me. That was so embarrassing. Why did he have to be in that restaurant?
After a few minutes my mom came in the car.
"Navia, what's your problem?"
"Nothing, I just didn't wanna be in there." I said and she sighed.
"Okay if you say so." She said.
