"Hurry up, Eshaa," my friend Vritika said to me. I immediately stopped my two-wheeler and turned around to  glared at her, saying, "We need to get there alive." She rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, yeah, whatever."

Actually, the thing is, today is our graduation, which is going to start at 10 o'clock. But all of us friends had planned to go early so that we could take pictures and spend some time together. Because after the ceremony, everyone will be in a hurry to go home, some for parties, and some for celebrations. And some of my classmates are going on vacation starting today.

All my other friends reached the college by 8 o'clock. But Vritika and I are late because we've been stuck in traffic for an hour. I don't know what kind of traffic there is here at 9 in the morning. And you rarely see traffic on this road. And today is one of those rare days.

"Ab ye kis gadhe ki karamat hai?" I hissed as Vritika yelled near my ear. We had reached the college gate, but someone had blocked the way with their Rolls Royce. Some rich show-off, I see.

I leaned slightly to my right to see who it was. I saw Uncle Nitin, our college watchman, and a tall man standing there.

If Uncle Nitin has stopped the car in the middle of the road, they must be discussing something important because Uncle Nitin would never do this otherwise; he is very responsible about his work.

I called out two or three times, but they probably didn't hear me.

I got off my Activa and started walking towards them, and just then Vritika honked the horn of my Activa.

I looked at the back of the guy. He was just a head taller than me but still looked very tall. "Excuse me," I called out to him.

And as soon as he turned, the ground beneath my feet shifted.

He looked at me but didn't say anything. He was staring at me as if I were an angel fallen from heaven. I could tell this from the expression on his face.

He looked incredibly handsome from head to toe. His long hair was slightly messed, but this hairstyle suited him, I must say.

His almond-shaped dark eyes, his long and slender nose, and his lips—his lips looked like rose petals. Can a guy's lips really be that beautiful? Yes, if the guy standing in front of me is him.

His body wasn't overly muscular, but he still looked very fit. He said something to me, but I didn't hear it properly. When such a handsome guy is standing in front of me, how can I hear anything?

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my friend's voice. She came and stood next to me, glaring at the guy with anger. I nudged her with my elbow. Uncle Nitin gave Vritika a stern look. She whined at her father.

I told him again that I needed a way to go inside. He nodded in understanding, got into his car, and made way for me. Vritika and I got back on the Activa and headed towards the parking area.

I looked in the mirror of my Activa and saw that his car was following right behind us. Suddenly, I got distracted, but I composed myself. I couldn't afford to embarrass myself by falling off my Activa in front of that handsome guy.

I parked my Activa, and suddenly, Vritika said, "I'll go ahead and save front row seats. You come quickly," and she ran off.

I felt like someone was watching me from a distance. I tried to see from the corner of my eye but didn't spot anyone around me. So I started walking, but then his face appeared in front of me—maybe it was him.

I stopped and turned around to look. My guess was right; he was looking at me. I smiled at him and shyly lowered my gaze.

I looked up again and saw him. My heart started racing when I saw him smiling at me. He smiled, he smiled at me. Today is a very special day for me—not only because it's my graduation but also because of this guy standing in front of me.
