We all made our way to the dining room, where we took our respective seats. The maids served food to everyone, and I reached for my glass of water. Just as I was about to take a sip, Nandini spoke up, "Bhai, bhabhi wants to tell you something." I choked on my water, and my eyes widened in shock as I turned to Nandini. "Are you okay, Ada beta?" Maa asked, concern etched on her face. I nodded, still trying to process what was happening.
Nandini pleaded with me to ask him, and I could feel everyone's eyes on me. He looked at me with a raised eyebrow, a questioning expression on his face. I took a deep breath, knowing that I had to ask him about the trip. But before I could say anything, Naina jumped in, "Are you pregnant, Adarika?" I choked on my water again, shocked by her question. "What?" I asked, trying to compose myself. "Nandini said you wanted to tell him something, so I thought..." Naina trailed off.
I quickly shook my head, trying to clear up the misunderstanding. "No, no way. That's not what I wanted to say." Naina looked at me curiously, "Then what is it?" I took another deep breath, trying to gather my courage. I thought to myself, "Ada, you can do this. You have to do this for Rian." And so, I blurted out,
"Actually, wethoughtofplanningatripfor Rian'sbirthday." Ansh looked at me, confusion written all over his face.
"Huh?" he asked. Naina chimed in, "What did you say? We didn't understand."
I repeated myself, trying to explain.
"Rian's birthday is coming up, and we thought it would be great to plan a trip for him. He'll be happy, and everyone will enjoy it." Rian's face lit up, and he exclaimed.
"Wow, mommy, I want to go!" I smiled at him, feeling a sense of relief. Nandini added her persuasion, "Bhai, please?" Revansh looked at us, his expression softening. "Where?" he asked. Nandini replied, "Bhai, our farmhouse in Jaipur." I held my breath, waiting for his response.
But to my surprise, he agreed. "If no one has a problem, then okay." I couldn't believe it. "Really?" I asked, excitement creeping into my voice. He nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. Rian thanked us, kissing our cheeks. "Dadda, thank you. You're the best, and thank you, mommy." Rian spoke up.
"Okay, so we'll leave for Jaipur tomorrow." I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. I had done it. I had convinced him to agree to the trip.
After breakfast, everyone left for their respective work. I headed to the hospital, eager to share the news with Kia. As I arrived, I spotted Kia outside the hospital with Rohan. I rushed towards them, holding Kia's hands and jumping up and down like a child. "Kia, Kia, I'm so happy!" I exclaimed. Kia looked at me, concern etched on her face.
"Ika, relax, what happened?" she asked. I took a deep breath, trying to contain my excitement. "You know, we're going on a trip," I said, barely able to contain my grin. "Oh, wow, where and suddenly why?" Kia asked, curiosity getting the better of her.
