When you steal his hoodie.
The sound of Heeseung singing in the shower was always soothing, but tonight it couldn't distract you from your discomfort. Your strawberry-printed pajamas, cute as they were, felt a bit too snug. You cast a longing glance at Heeseung's favorite hoodie draped over the chair. It was your sanctuary—soft, oversized, and warm. You couldn't resist its allure any longer.
You tip-toed across the room, careful not to make a sound, and slipped into the hoodie. The fabric enveloped you in its familiar embrace, instantly making you feel at ease. You sighed in contentment, burying your nose in the collar to catch a faint whiff of Heeseung's scent. The sound of the shower stopped abruptly, and your heart skipped a beat. You quickly darted back to the bed, pulling the blanket up to your chin to conceal the hoodie.
Heeseung emerged from the bathroom, steam billowing out behind him. A towel hung low on his hips, revealing his toned physique. You quickly averted your gaze, your cheeks heating up. Even after dating for a while, seeing him like this always made you nervous.
"Hey, why are you all bundled up?" he asked, his voice tinged with suspicion.
"It's cold," you mumbled, hoping your face wasn't as red as it felt.
"Cold? Why don't we just turn off the A.C. then?" Heeseung suggested, his eyebrows knitting together.
You shook your head vigorously. "No, it's fine. I like it this way."
Heeseung looked around the room, a puzzled expression on his face. You could almost see the gears turning in his head. "Have you seen my hoodie?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Feigning innocence, you shrugged. "Nope, haven't seen it. Maybe it's in the wash?"
Heeseung wasn't buying it. He shook his head, looking directly at you. "I saw it here before I went to shower. Are you sure you haven't seen it?"
You bit your lip, trying to maintain your composure. "Positive. It's probably just mixed in with the laundry."
Heeseung continued to scrutinize the room, his eyes landing on the chair where the hoodie had been. "Strange. I could have sworn..."
He trailed off, his gaze returning to you. You tried to appear casual, but your stern insistence about the hoodie being in the wash had clearly made him more suspicious.
"Help me find it, then," he said, taking a step closer to the bed.
Your heart pounded in your chest. If you stood up, he'd see you were wearing the hoodie. "I think it's just best to leave it for now," you said a bit too firmly, your voice trembling slightly.
Heeseung's curiosity was piqued, and he continued to advance. "Why are you acting so weird? Just get up and help me."
You could feel panic setting in. "Heeseung, really, it's fine. I'm sure it'll turn up."
He ignored your protest, moving closer until he was standing right beside the bed. "Let me see under the blanket," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"No!" you blurted out, clutching the blanket tighter around you.
Heeseung raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a knowing smirk. "You're hiding something," he said, his voice low and teasing.
You could feel your resolve crumbling. "I'm not hiding anything!" you insisted, though the quiver in your voice betrayed you.
Heeseung chuckled, shaking his head. "You're a terrible liar. Come on, let me see."
You knew you were caught. With a defeated sigh, you slowly lowered the blanket, revealing the oversized hoodie you were wearing. Heeseung's eyes lit up with amusement as he took in the sight.
"So that's where my hoodie went," he said, his tone playful.
You blushed, unable to meet his gaze. "I just... I love wearing it. It's so comfy."
Heeseung's smirk grew wider as he leaned in closer, his face inches from yours. "You know, if you wanted to wear my clothes, you could have just asked," he teased, his breath warm against your skin.
You felt your cheeks flush even more. "I know, but... you're so protective of this hoodie."
Heeseung laughed softly. "Maybe because it looks better on you than on me," he said, his eyes twinkling with affection.
Your heart fluttered at his words, and you couldn't help but smile. "Really?"
"Really," he confirmed, his hand reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair from your face. "But you know, you're going to have to pay the price for stealing it."
You swallowed nervously. "And what's that?"
Heeseung's smirk turned into a full grin. "A kiss," he said, his voice dropping to a whisper.
Your breath hitched, your heart racing. "O-okay," you stammered, leaning in.
But just as your lips were about to meet, you pulled back, your cheeks burning. "Wait, no! I can't do this!" you exclaimed, feeling a rush of embarrassment.
Heeseung's laughter echoed through the room as you scrambled out of bed and dashed towards the door. "Where are you going?" he called after you, his voice filled with amusement.
"Anywhere but here!" you replied, your face a deep shade of red.
As you fled, you could hear Heeseung's laughter following you, the sound making your heart flutter with a mix of embarrassment and joy.
