ESCAPING THE DARK ALPHA

Aurora's pov

No please tell me this is just a dream and it isn't real and when I wake up my life will be back to normal.

"So what do you plan on doing alpha?". A blonde guy asked.

Alpha!. My mate is the alpha. This is bloody messed up. I can't believe the fact that I'm actually fated to a monster like him.

"She's coming with us". His tone was brisque, his gaze still fixated on me.
The intensity of his stare was to scary so I quickly averted my gaze.

Panic rose within me when I realized Hannah wasn't by my side.
Where did she go?
Did she manage to escape? Or did these savages kill her?.

My heart raced when I felt someone suddenly grab my arm.
I gulped when I met the intense stare of the alpha.
"Get up". He demanded, jerking me upwards.
I tried to get up but I winced as the pain shot up in my leg once again.
I heard him curse under his breath.
Fucking pathetic!.

I yelped when his grip tightened on my arm, he began dragging towards the vehicle and shoved me into the backseat, slamming the door shut.
A sob wracked through me. Could my life getting any worse than this?
A tyrant of a father and now a ruthless mate.

He's no better than Michael in fact he's much more worse.
I just traded the wolf's den for the lions cage. I jumped from one pot in the fire into another.
I should've just stayed put in my room and not run after Hannah but what sort of friend would I be? To just let her go alone.

My eyes darted out of the car window, the cool wind whipping through my hair. My mind was in turmoil as to what these monsters were going to do with me.

My eyes snap wide open when a bucket of ice cold water was thrown on me.
My blood run cold when I realized where I am. They had me locked in a cell, I was chained to the ceiling. The chain was pulled tight and my legs dangled above the ground, my arms narrowly avoided being pulled out of their sockets.

"Finally I have your attention". The guy with red hair smirked.
"I'm going to have so much fun with you and once I'm done I'm going to take pleasure in killing you myself".

Please don't hurt me, I haven't done anything. I pleaded.
"You're going to pay for everything Michael has done to my family". He growled.
A shudder run up my back when he picked up the whip.

I swallowed as I watched him stride around to the back of me.
The crack of the whip sounding before I felt the most excruciating pain in my back. A hiss escaping through my clenched teeth as I struggled for air.

I felt as if my back was on fire as he continued striking me without stopping. My back arching in pain, my teeth gritting as I endured it.

Whack, whack, whack. He hit me in quick succession, each hit was harder than the one before.
The whip cracked loudly as he hit me, over and over till it felt as though he had split my back wide open, blood spurted from the wounds.

The room was beginning to feel like it was spinning around me and I felt disoriented, breathing shallowly.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?". The alpha bellowed narrowing his golden orbs at the red haired guy.

The red haired guy scoffed. I'm doing exactly what you were supposed to do. She's his daughter, she has to pay for what he's done to our family. He snarled.

Did I not say that I will deal with her in my own way? He growled at the red head.

The red head snickered. When will that be? I don't care if she's your mate, this bitch will have to pay for her father's crimes.

The alpha snarled at the red head wrapping his fingers around his throat, slamming hard against the wall.

My chest began to feel tight and I struggled to breath as I watch the alpha grab the redhaired guy by his throat.

"I warned you no one is to lay a finger on her yet you disobeyed me". He growled baring his long sharp canines at him.
"No one is to touch her but me only. Do you understand?" The alpha growled.
The red head nodded bowing his head at his alpha.

My heart was racing but now I could feel its beginning to slow as my vision blurred and my body began to go limp.

I watched with bleary eyes as the alpha stood in front of me, removing the cuffs and lowering me to the ground, in one sweep he took me into his arms and hurried out of the cell.

My eyelids fluttered open, my blurry vision slowly adjusting to the rusty chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
I tried to jolt up but the excruciating pain in my back stopped me. I hissed at the searing pain.

Tears clouded my vision. I was supposed to be dead.
Confusion, sadness and disappointment crept upon me.
Why am I still alive?.

My eyelids felt heavy, my entire body ached with pain, I'm so tired, tired of living and being everyone's punching bag. All I ever hoped for since I was a little girl was to be free and live a normal life but instead here I am captured by another ruthless alpha who claims me to be his mate.

"You're awake". A raspy voice spoke, startling me.
A girl with dark brown hair, pale skin and grey eyes appeared in front of me, smiling warmly at me.

How are you feeling?. She asked, concern etching her face.
I'm fine thanks for asking, by the way who are you?
How silly of me. She chuckled softly.
My name is Hailey and I'm an omega.

I'm Aurora. Nice to meet you Aurora.
I've brought you something to eat. She said placing a bowl of soup in front of me.

Thanks but I'm not hungry. I said pushing the bowl away.
"Oh". She muttered, looking disappointed for a second, before she settled down on the chair across me. "More for me". She smiled as she took a spoonful of the soup.

Why am I here?. I asked. I was confused. If the alpha wanted to seek revenge why did he save me from dying?

"Because you're a slave just like I am".
