Loves Not Lost

Chapter 1

"Uba Harley? How come mama and papa never have time for me?" A little girl only about five years old asks with big curious chocolate eyes.

"Oh, little one your parents are just busy with work, so busy that you don't see them as much as you used to. Now, why don't you blow out your candle and make a wish, if you wish hard enough it might just come true!"

The little girl looks at her nanny with sadness in her eyes then moves her head to look at the single cupcake sitting in front of her with one candle in the middle of the said cupcake as the candle burns brightly in her chocolate eyes.

All around her are emptiness as she looks at the huge dining area around her and her nanny. As she looks around she only has one thing on her mind a wish that would make her the happiest in the world. Thinking hard she closes her eyes as tight as she could and blew out the candle.

"ESME SOE-JIN!! Get back here! You are going to make me late!"

"Girl, can you hurry it up a bit? I don't want to be late and miss that fine-ass new mathematics professor I've been hearing about."

"Oooo, Audrey said a bad word!?" Says a little Asian-looking boy who looks around the age of five to eight.

Coming around the corner wearing a white button-up under a black letterman jacket, with the letter C etched on the right side near his chest, a pair of black jeans, and a pair of white converse to complete the outfit. But hold on why don't we introduce this mess of people so we can get acquainted with everyone

Why don't we go with the one you've already heard the name of and that's Audrey. This is Audrey McKenna a twenty-three-year-old woman in her junior year of college. Audrey is a mixed woman with dark brown curly chest-length hair. Audrey's outfit consists of a black one-piece body suit that doesn't have long pant sleeves and has shorts as the bottom half, a beige crop top military jacket over the top of it, and a pair of black high tops to go with it while also having her natural hair down and free but a little slit back in the front with gel showing her edges.

The next person we see is the little boy whose outfit we've already seen. This is Callum Soe-Jin a half-Koren and half-Japanese eight-year-old. Callum is in his fourth year of grade school but is being raised by his older sister alongside his younger sister.

And speaking of his younger sister now we got the little three-year-old girl running around away from the older woman. This is Esme Soe-Jin the younger sibling to Callum Soe-Jin if it wasn't obvious from their last names. Both children with chocolate brown eyes and jet-black hair. In the hand of the woman chasing her are a set of clothing would be the little girl's clothes. The clothing consists of a white sweatshirt with the Nike logo etched in the front in black lettering on it, black child-sized leggings, and a pair of black shoes with white bottoms that have a white and black little fluff ball on them like tinker bell's fluff on her shoes.

And last but not least the said woman chasing the little Esme with clothes in her hands trying to put them in the little and failing miserably is our main character in this story and the protagonist of this story, Cecilia Soe-Jin. Cecilia is the older sibling to little Callum and Esme and is also the legal guardian to them. But unlike her siblings, she has sort of light chestnut brown hair but still has dark chocolate eyes like her younger siblings.

Cecilia's outfit consists of a thin white long-sleeve shirt that stops above her belly button so it looks like a long-sleeve crop top, a pair of high-waisted light blue denim jeans, and a pair of white and red striped vans. Along with the outfit she has her mid-back length hair tied in a high ponytail with some piece of her hair in front of her face as her side bangs.
