It's been three years since Lloyd has gained control over Ninjago and has killed off the Crystal counsel.

As for the ninja they have been in hiding for the past three years trying to figure out a way to defeat Lloyd.

The ninja are right now in one of the old criminal hideouts.

"I can't believe it's been three years already" says Nya sadden

"I can't believe it either dear" Jay says as he side hugs Nya.

"Why are we mopping around instead of doing something that could help the people of Ninjago"

"You don't think we are trying Kai, it's to dangerous and plus most of are allies have been imprisoned by Lloyd." Says Cole frustrated.

"I understand we are trying, but I feel like we aren't trying hard enough and that we are starting to give up on our city that we sworn to protect."

"But we can only do so much Kai even if you feel we aren't doing enough, we are doing all we can."

Kai then gets frustrated and yells "I GET IT,BUT I WANT TO DO MORE. I need to save Lloyd from himself" Kai says getting quieter at the end.

The group just look at each other and then Nya says "is this what's it's about Kai that you feel like this your fault for not keeping Lloyd safe."

Sighing Kai says "I feel like it's my fault that he's some evil Oni dictator"

Cole walks up to Kai and puts a hand on his shoulder as he says "it's not your fault buddy, it's the overlords fault for killing his father. It's also Harumi fault for not leaving Garmadom in the departed realm."

"Thanks Cole. You really know how to cheer me up."

Cole then lightly punches Kai in the shoulder as he says "don't get all soft on me fire boy"

"Hey!" Kai says as he rubs his shoulder.

Just then Zane barges into the room damaged.

"ZANE" the group yells as they run over to their robot friend.

"Zane buddy are you ok"

"I don't think I am okay Cole"

Laughing slightly Cole says "you look far from ok"

"But my friends I have good news and bad news"

"What's the bad news, wait I don't want to hear it" Jay says panicked.

"Well Jay I was followed to are hideout"

"God fucking dam-it Zane. This is the only safe place we have left."

Zane looks down disappointed in himself as he says "I am sorry for disappointing you Kai, but I didn't realize they had tracking animals"

"I am sorry for yelling at you Zane, but how far are th-"

You can then hear the sounds of dogs.

"They are right behind me"

"It's ok Zane we just have to sneak away"

"Again I am sorry my friends"

"Like Cole said Zane it's fine, but if you want to make it up could you tell us what the good news is?"

"Well the good news is that I found a potential way of defeating Lloyd." but as he says this he looks down sad.
