"A passcode, the network jammer code, and the house security code," he demanded.
Somehow, I anticipated his request, and it made me smile.
"That's it?" I asked, smiling. His reaction was priceless—he stared at me as if I had committed a crime. He clearly hadn't expected me to give him the passcode so easily.
"1011993."
I handed him the passcode, and he still looked bewildered.
"Huh?"
"The passcode for the network jammer," I clarified.
I had no issue giving him the passcode; I just wanted to ensure his safety. If he turned on his phone, anyone could trace it, and I couldn't risk that, especially when I wasn't around to protect him. There were plenty of security guards around the apartment, but I didn't know the full extent of our enemy's capabilities, and I couldn't take any chances.
Whenever I took on a case, my client's safety was my prime responsibility. Reyansh was no exception.
Or maybe he was...
My subconscious mind mocked me, but I couldn't name these feelings. It was just a mere crush, nothing more. But now that he was my husband, I didn't know what to feel. He irritated me at times, yet I felt at peace when I saw his smiling face. I didn't like it when he talked endlessly, but I felt strange when he was around and stayed quiet.
I felt everything I didn't want to feel. These emotions were distractions. If I got distracted, I would risk losing years of hard work. But that didn't mean I would let him go.
The only person who provides me peace is Reyansh. How could I ever let him go? I will never.
"House security code?" he asked.
He was trying to be smart, but I couldn't give him the house security code; it was about his safety. Instead, I just smiled. I stood up, walked over to him, and sat on his lap. I could feel his arousal. I nuzzled my face into the crook of his neck and kissed him there.
"Breathe, Rey. I don't want to be a widow this soon."
He stopped breathing the moment I kissed his neck. I took my time, kissing, biting, and inhaling his scent. Suddenly, he pulled my face up, and in an instant, his lips crashed onto mine. It felt so good, like finding peace.
I didn't know why, but having him around was a major turn-on for me. Just his presence made me lose all control over my body. All I wanted was to feel his hands on me, his warmth near me, his lips on mine, him inside- No, no. I immediately pulled away from him. He tried to kiss me again, but I placed my hand on his chest and stopped him.
I couldn't lose control. Not now. I had important work to finish.
"Is there anything I should know about you, Reyansh? Any lies?"
