NOTE: I hate how Tony's character has been treated worse than trash and Rogers is glorified despite all the deaths he has willingly caused. I feel like I will go fucking insane every time I think about the fact that while Rogers went back and lived happily ever after with the love of his life, our Tony had to die. So, in this story, Tony survives, Stephen doesn't trust Rogers with the infinity stones and goes himself instead. And IronStrange happens!
Steve is gonna face his sins! Wait and watch.
Those who are Captain America fans, please click that Red X on top and get away from here. As I always say, I do not wish to exorcise the comment sections for delusions. This is purely Team Iron man.
I hope you find some kind of solace, just like I do when I read all the fictions written on this issue.
Tony Stark had shown a lot of patience for a lot of undeserving assholes in his life. He was someone who was raised to smile through his annoyance, his anger, and his pain. He had the patience of a literal saint. But Tony Stark was also someone who was fiercely protective of the people he loved and when they were threatened, patience was the last virtue he could give a fuck about. And that's exactly what was happening. His Stephen was being threatened.
Tony had made peace with the fact that he would never really have peace in his life. But there was someone, whose arms could hide him from the world and make him feel like he was not as broken as he knew he was. Stephen Strange, the man who had once turned into dust right in front of his eyes, the man who also had saved him from the 6 stones of undreamt power, the man who was such an enigma that Tony couldn't help but fall in love.
After the snap and the return of all those who had been lost, Tony knew he could not be the same. He and Pepper had split with the best intentions for each other in their minds. They both knew they could be together but they were not what they needed. Pepper needed someone who could give her stability and Tony needed someone who could hold him through all the upheavals that seemed to litter his path of life.
After the return of the lost ones, everyone started to gravitate towards those who understood each other. Tony and his little family gravitated towards those who were more respectful and understanding towards Tony and his loss. It was an unspoken rule for Pepper, Rhodey, Happy, Peter, and even little Morgan that those who even looked a little wrong toward Tony would be blacklisted. Hence Tony and his little family unexpectedly got close to Stephen Strange and his little family namely Wong and Christine.
It was no surprise that Wong and Rhodey got along like a house on fire. After all, they both shared the same worry of wrangling geniuses into some semblance of health and safety. It was also no surprise that Morgan and Peter were loved and protected very fiercely by all the adults, superpowered or not. What was a surprise, were the two couples that came out of this ragtag group of survivors.
Pepper and Christine were almost a splitting image of each other with how fierce and strong the women were. They were also very gentle and kind-hearted and craved a love that reciprocated that gentleness and peace. Soon the two women grew closer and to Tony's eternal amusement, it was Christine who had had enough of the pining and had pulled Pepper into a kiss that left the infamous Pepper Potts speechless and red-faced, for, in her own words, an embarrassingly long period of time.
So, it was indeed surprising and frankly a little scary to see these two women turn into a power couple. But what came as a bigger surprise to everyone including the two idiots involved was when Tony, the king of sass, selflessness, and self-destruction got together with the second king of sass, selflessness, and self-destruction, Dr Stephen Strange.
