You paused as an uneasy feeling swept through you once more, the way the shoes held your foot so perfectly made you question the reality of what was really going on, for umpteenth time today. But you wearily stood up and squeezed the doorknob, you felt a tugging feeling in your soul.

But something within you pushed you to turn the knob and open the door. Sighing heavily as a cool breeze brushed through your hair, it made you instinctively pulled your hood over your head. Now you felt more at peace, finally, a familiar feeling among this horrible and jarring situation.

You huffed and slipped out the door, looking around the neighborhood, it didn't look too extraordinary, just the occasional colorful plants and flowers their owners had. You noticed that everyone had a gate, where had you seen this before again? It was when you were scrolling on Pinterest...

Japan?

Now that you were looking through everything again, you saw that the streets and houses did resemble some of the architecture you would see on the internet, the dull colors all complimented each other, nothing looked out of the ordinary, in fact if it weren't for your terrifying realization, you wouldn't question anything.

As you neared the house gate, you noticed some boxes in the corner, stacked on top of each other like a child's building blocks, you noticed that they were labeled. "Clothes","Toiletries", "Extra" were the ones you bothered to read. You put your hands inside of the hoodie pocket, feeling the phone from earlier in your pocket, you frowned slightly, but your eyebrows lifted when you felt something wired.

You pulled out the phone and felt back into the pocket, you felt the wires again, feeling excited you pulled it out of your pocket, you were beyond glad to see the familiar sight of the wired earbuds, whether they were yours before didn't matter now, you had an outlet for music! Now you just had to add everything... again...

But you got your music, so your worries subsided a bit, plugging the earbuds in, you started to scroll around, this time trying to ignore the fact that there was no previous record of songs. But hey... there seemed to be music that you enjoyed, you were glad that there was plentiful amount of (genre of music) that were still made and now could stay with you.

You clicked on a song, feeling instantly better from the tunes playing, feeling a surge of comfort and motivation, you picked up a box and started to load them to the door, a light smile on your face as the music soothed you. Your actions didn't feel as hesitant with the music in the background, you felt a bit more comfortable with the sounds.

So that's why your heart nearly leaped out of your chest when someone called out, making you jolt in surprise, you pulled out one earbud and turned your head, there, a boy with a tan and bright blonde hair was behind the gate, a beauty mark under his left eye and another under right to his mouth.

The boy was smiling, he sure seemed to be an extrovert, you huffed to yourself silently, putting down the box in your hands, "Are you my new neighbor?" The boy really did seem like a sunshine, a golden retriever, if you will, it made your awkwardness act up, you were never used to upbeat people, in fact, you had few friends that weren't moots from the internet.

"Uh... yeah..." you answered shyly, why was he talking to you. Your fingers reached up to the hoodie strings, fidgeting with them anxiously as you tried to look anywhere but the tanned male's bright blue eyes, he was definitely taller than you, it was kind of alarming how tall he was compared to you. Last time you checked you were just 172cm, was this guy just 190 or more??
