Joker tackled Batman to the ground. The Dark Knight responded by kicking the Joker off him and flipping backwards setting himself for his adversaries next assault.
Batman: Show's over Joker!
The Clown looked up at the Batman. His smile being scary and one of true insanity.
Joker: Oh Batsy the show must go on.
Joker grabbed a blade and tried to strike down The Caped Crusader. Batman dodged then kicked the Joker to the side by the time Batman realized what had happened it was almost too late. Joker was now hanging from a ledge.
Joker: You wouldn't leave me hanging now right, Batsy?!
Batman leaned down to grab the joker. When he noticed a buzzer on the palm of his own hand Batman pulled away at the last second just before his hand met the clown's!
Joker: Almost had ya! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Joker released his grip and fell to the water! He was laughing so much he didn't realize that the rain had affected his buzzer. He looked to his hand and his laughing stopped!
Joker: Uh Oh.
But it was too late the Joker fell into the water and the buzzer went off and electrocuted him. The joker screamed as he disappeared into the water beneath the surface one minute the electricity was showing his silhouette the next minute..... He was gone...... Batman had seen it all as he rose he knew it had finally happened The Joker ....... was gone......
The Batcave tunnel fully enveloped the Windows, As the Batmobile roared into the batcave. Batman at the wheel still brooding as he reviewed what happened that night. Both Anarcy and Joker were dead, He knew how the Joker met his demise but was angry how he couldn't do anything. He did not know how he was killed but knew that whoever or whatever did it. Left his head cut off and his body drained of blood....As the canopy opened Batman felt a strange feeling coming on him. He climbed out. Wondering if the feeling was guilt or relief that The Joker was no more..... No that wasn't it. It was a different feeling a dark feeling almost as if something bad were about to happen..........
Alfred: Are you alright, Master Bruce?
A man with a mustache and dressed in a nice black suit was gently shaking the shoulder of the masked vigilante.
Batman: Uh? A-A-A Alfred I'm fine just must have fallen asleep that's all.....What time?
Alfred: Approximately 5:45 AM You came in almost 3 hours ago. I marked the time when the lights flashed upstairs. I didn't bother at first but when I didn't here—-
Batman: It's okay, Alfred. Just uh..... Just lost in some thought that's all.
Alfred could tell his master was brooding... More so than usual.
Alfred: Master Bruce?
Batman: Alfred... That night... The joker met his demise....
Alfred's face changed to shock.
Alfred: And what of, Anarchy?
Batman: Gone.... In the most brutal way.
Alfred: Oh dear.....
Batman: I've been getting this feeling.. this strange feeling...
Alfred: Guilt?
Batman: I don't know....Maybe it is guilt...
Alfred: You shouldn't feel guilty for being unable to save someone, especially like him. You gave it your best sure, but you can't save everyone.
Alfred's words made him feel a bit better.
Batman: Thank you, Alfred..... Now I will be preparing for the charity fund later today. I'll be up in a few.
Alfred: I understand sir. I shall prepare you of eggs Benedict for you at once.
The faithful Alfred turned and walked away. But as he left the cave, the Batman couldn't shake the feeling.. that dark anticipating feeling of something just waiting to happen.... He couldn't help but shake the feeling that this was............
The beginning of the end for both Bruce Wayne and Batman........
