although haeun and i are in the same team, we aren't necessarily close. we were asked to pair up at the company just to join this show. we had a week to prepare, which meant we spent a week together. that's it, so im not that close to her. though i hope i can get closer to her and the other trainees in iland.

we made our way to the metaball, into "ILAND". now that we have 5 people over limit, that means we have not enough chairs. so i shared a sit with jiyoon.

her hands around my waist and her head on my shoulder. "hmm?" i hummed and she shook her head, "i shouldve gotten all I's" jiyoon said before removing her chin from my shoulder and placing her forehead there. i rubbed her hands that were around my waist.

"you did so well jiyoon, your performance had me gagged. im so proud of you okay" i told her and she gave me a small smile which i returned with a big one. im known for having a pretty smile so i love showing it off.

then there was a sound before some animations on the big screen. "First, a common destiny. We share the fate of a team, not as an individual." the voice said, while i fidget with jiyoon's fingers that were still around my waist.

" With the team score ..." jeemin started
" oh, i guess its based on the team score" sarang, who sat on the same sit as jeemin, added.

"Second, ILANDERS decide everything on their own." the voice said and i looked around the room, seeing afew faces go from big smiles to worry.

" are you saying we get to decide who to let out of here?" sujung asked and many gasps and agreements came from the other trainees. i felt jiyoon interlock her fingers with mine and i reciprocated holding them tightly. for reassurance, for me or for her im not sure, because i needed it too.

"Third, iland can only have 13 people. there are 18 people here right now. From now on to meet iland capacity, you'll start voting"

"i knew this would happen!" jiyoon whined placing her head in my neck, many groans were heard. real me too. i sighed unprepared of whats to come.

"the survivor vote is solely up to you,
in the process of completing the ideal team you want,
you are given the privilege to choose the member YOU want to be with"

the air became tense, everyone looking around perhaps picking the teammates they wanted already.Jungeun was granted with the benefit of not being eliminated through voting, first ilander. then the number of space left became 12.

"voting will take place in 30minutes" then a timer appeared on the metaball, and if i wasnt scared earlier im definitely scared now. this whole thing feels like a ticking bomb, i feel like im a ticking bomb. oh my days.

then the voice told us to go to the second floor, giving us the opportunity to check out the place. This place definitely met all of our expectations, igniting many gasps and excitement.

i held onto jiyoon hand as we explored the place, including the pretty and different themed rooms. my favourite place was definitely the kitchen. it was beautiful.

after our fruitful exploration, we gathered back to the sofas at the second floor. i sat next to sarang, her name is so pretty, she's also really pretty herself. i could kiss her, joking... am i?

anyway, she introduced herself to me earlier and shes actually a really easy person to be around,which im glad. we had small conversations and now we were looking at the projector that had all our faces on it. we have to decide who we want to be with.

the countdown ended and we were asked to go to the room where we cast our votes. i waited til it was my turn, and now that it is, im staring at the screen looking at the trainees names who were staring back at me.

should i vote for myself? but...

i voted for jeemin, jiyoon and mai because im close to them and theyre extremely talented and i want to work with them for the missions to come.

then i voted for Haeun because we were in the same team, and although we are not that close i hope that we become closer through the coming mission.

lastly... i voted for not myself but sarang because her performance was incredible and extremely memorable.

thats it. my five votes. i submitted my vote and made my way back to where all the other trainees sat.

after the voting had been calculated, which took around 30minutes, we were gathered infront of the metaball. i had gotten to know a few other trainees during the 30minutes, and so far everyone seem super pleasant. im really happy to be here.

"the second ilander receiver 10 votes, bang jeemin"
" the third ilander received 9 votes, chen yiyu"
"the fourth ilander received 7 votes, fuko"

then it went on all the way to the thirteenth. all the way til the end, Minsol ( my new friend hehe ) and haeuns name werent called. i listened as they called praying that they could get in, but to no avail.

now its time to say goodbye, i looked up watching as the new grounders stood up. i made eye contact with haeuns watery eyes and couldnt help but look away afraid that if i continued looking at her i would start a waterfall of my own.

"unnie.." i mumbled and she gave me a soft smile. "its okay" she said hugging me. "come back okay?" i asked my voice shaking as my words came out, she nodded smiling although her eyes were red and watery. i gave her a tight last hug before sending her into the metaball.

i also squeezed minsol hand on the way, she gave me a smile which i returned. "i'll see you guys soon!" i told them and they nodded, i followed the spinning metaball waving bye as they left.

fuko came to hug me, bringing me to the sit beside her. "let's put our name tag" she said and i smiled. my name tag looks so pretty on the iland chair, i hope it stays here forever. i'll never remove it, i should honestly take a picture and frame it up. i giggled at that thought.
