The Dream

It was a dark gloomy night Kendall Choice Jr. was sleeping in his bed at his grandparent's house when, he hears a thud in the other room. "What was that," he said quickly waking up from his deep sleep. He gets up out of bed and turns the lights on then looks at himself in the mirror. He looks at reflection in the mirror as: a black male about 5'10" athletic built, wearing his blue checkered pajama pants and his gray track shirt from his high school, the white walls, his TV; red, black, and gray bed cover, the cover of his favorite football team the Eagleton Falcons.

Kendall begins walking down the hallway he makes a right towards his dad's room. He hears a growling noise in the distance. He flips the light switch on next to him in wonder to where and what it was that made that noise. Maybe it was a TV that had been left on maybe it was all in head who knows. After he turns the light on he turns his head and in the distance he sees a dark figure nearby his father's room.

He doesn't know what it is as he looks down the long beige hallway. Now the mysterious figure starts to growl again showing his teeth as if he was in attack mode. As a reaction in fear as the figure is foaming, and salivating at the mouth, he quickly turns around and starts sprinting down the hallway though the kitchen trying to get away from this mysterious creature. The creature chases after him down the hallway moving fast it tries to make a right turn but it's going to fast, and smashes into the wall.

As Kendall looks behind him he sees it getting up still trying to chase him. Kendall turns back around running away trying to get away from this creature. The hallway to the garage door seems to never end, the creature still chasing after him as he goes through the kitchen he sees the creature getting closer to him he says; "Track feet, don't fail me now!" The creature is destroying everything in its path as Kendall finally reaches the door leading to the garage. He turns around to see that the creature has disappeared from sight. However, Kendall can't take that chance as he turns the knob heading out the door still running to go the other door leading outside. Once he reaches for the other door to go outside he opens it and he see the creature right in front of him now, he thinks he's doomed as the creature launches at him.

He awakes drenched in sweat and breathing heavily as his alarm goes off waking him for school. He looks at the clock as it reads 6:30am, Monday, June 15, 2050. Kendall gets ready for school when he gets a mysterious call from an unmarked number Kendall answers "Hello" and there's a long pause before he hears a response. The caller answers "You still have the gift have the gift don't you?" "Who is this?" "Never you mind who this is, just make sure you lose the gift before next week because then we'll come looking for you and you don't want that." What?" The phone goes dead, "Who is this?!" Kendall yells at the phone.
