*Many Many Years ago in Westeros during the reign of King Jaehaerys Targaryen* ~Nobody's POV~ King Jaehaerys presiding over a "great council" where all the high lords of Westeros were invited to weigh in on which of his descendants they wanted to succeed him as king. The King then chose who would rule Westeros after he passes his reign he then decided that Viserys and his wife Aemma would be king and Rhaenys would be passed over the Queen who never was which many took as a precedent that women could not inherit the Iron Throne.

My father King Viserys I named me his heir to the Iron Throne.... He married my best friend for as long as I can remember Alicent Hightower now Queen Alicent after my mother Queen Aemma and my baby brother passed away the realm wanted a Queen so my father chose Alicent to be his wife. Much to my dismay I learned to get over the fact she's my stepmother in their reign they have two sons and a daughter Aegon, Aemond, and Haelena while my marriage to Prince Laenor was falling apart so I found pleasure elsewhere.
