"Your father is gone." Four harsh words slipped from your Mother. Four words you'd never thought you'd hear. You didn't even know what to say then. What were you supposed to say? "That selfish bastard left all his debt to us !!" Your Mother added. "You pieces of shit!! I can't fucking take care of BOTH of you! What am I? A MACHINE?!" But at that point, you'd hoped she was.

"Y/n." She gritted her teeth, her voice sent shivers down your spine while her eyes glinted with hatred. A lump had formed in your throat, it felt as if your vocal cords had been ripped out. You hadn't respond. "TALK TO ME GOD DAMMIT," You flinched at her words, tears had brimmed in your eyes. "Yes, mother." You whimpered quietly.

Next thing you knew you got dragged out of the house, your mother pulled at your long hair as she had shoved you into the backseat of her car. "We're going to the orphanage." You panicked, looked around only to have spotted your brother crying by the front door as your mother had shooed him in. You had cried as well, knowing that you couldn't protect him anymore from your mother's abuse. Even if he was just a Mama's boy.

The next hour had felt like only a few minutes, the car ride had came to a stop. Your heart felt as if it was on fire from how fast it was beating. You couldn't think, you couldn't breathe. You couldn't process what happened as the orphanage gates closed behind you. Your mother didn't even fill any paperwork, she had just left you there, too tired and angry to have dealt with you anymore.

Years of harsh words and stinging slaps had culminated in that moment, the ultimate abandonment. Your small frame had shaken with silent sobs, your mind had struggled to grasp why you had been deemed unworthy of the one person that was supposed to love you unconditionally.

Until now.

The realization is finally settling down on you: You are truly, and utterly alone.
