JINA, EVEN WITH THE THINGS that she went through, tried to have a good day every day. she was extremely thankful for everything that was given her and knew to never take something for granted.
dabin, despite the things he went through, only had a good day when jina looked at him. he had always liked the much shorter girl, but for the past months he couldn't help himself but yearn for her attention.
"hey, jina." dabin greeted her as he passed by her.
"hi, dabin." jina replied right away, her lovely smile lifting the boy's mood up at right away.
soyeon, who was beside the girl, pressed her lips together to hide the grin that was threatening to spread on her lips. she had a few suspections on why jina was the only person dabin was actually nice to. also, because of how she was completely ignored by the latter. but the girl didn't think much of it and continued to smile encouragingly at her male classmates to get them to do her work.
"ji, you should stop working so hard. just let the boys do it." soyeon told her as she faced her friend.
jina let out an exhausted sigh as she let go of the heavy bag she was carrying. shaking her head, she told soyeon that they should also help, before she continued to drag the bag with her.
soyeon let her shoulders sink as her eyebrows furrowed. until a great idea popped up in her head.
"im dabin," soyeon called after the boy, gesturing for him to come closer. the tall boy did as he was told when he saw his crush standing beside her. "jina needs some help. can you–,"
"yeah, sure." was the only thing he said, not hesitating to take the bag from jina. when their hands touched for a second, dabin felt his ears getting red. but he still wished that it lasted longer, that one day he could really hold her hands with no excuses needed.
jina watched him leave again, her eyebrows raised in surprise. "yah, why would you say that?" she turned towards soyeon once the boy was out of sight. she felt bad for making him work even more, but was relieved nonetheless to get some rest.
