Chapter 7

As Seth and I sat down across from Amoy I ask, "what's going on?"

"You will never believe what I found!" She says. She digs into her satchel bag and pulls out an old looking book. "I was going through the archives when I found out that the school was actually founded by the royal family. And that the original kings brother, the founder of the school, had journals. So I kept digging and found out that as some know, the oldest buildings here were used during the third world war. There are tunnels everywhere!"

Somewhere in the back of my mind something clicked. Aren had said that dad had based the house after the school, with the tunnels.

"This is important because?" Seth asks.

"Because if you go and read some different articles and dive deep, you'll find out that it's a family tradition that the Royal bloodline kept a diary. As did the late Princess." Amoy explained.

"So... the late Princess had a diary..." I try to process what she's saying.

"And this is good because?" Seth asks.

"We might get more information on what really happened." Amoy says. "How she went missing."

"Even if it had the information, we don't know where it is" Seth says.

Amoy smirks, "we may not..." she looks to me. "But she might."

"Just called Mr. Robinson, he said that this could be my 'one favor'" I say. I called Mr. Robinson to tell him that I wanted to go through my mom's old things, for memory reasons. He said he'd pull me out of school for a weekend. But one weekend only.

"Good" Amoy says. "Text or call me if you need anything."

"Will do" I grab out my dorm keys and open the dorm door.

"So... excited for the sleepover?" Amoy asks.

"First one at Legacy Academy, of course I'm excited" I say. We walk up the stairs.

"I've done some over my years" Amoy says. "This is my first year with a four person room. So this will definitely be more fun. And roomy."

Only seniors got four people rooms, everyone else got two people rooms.

Once we got to our dorm sweet I opened the door with my dorm key.

Small fairy lights lined the ceiling corners. While Renee finished putting them up Abbie opened bags of candy and poured them into bowls laying them out onto the small coffee table that sat in the middle of our miniature living room. The couch was put neatly with two sleeping bags already played out.

"Looks amazing!" I say as I hand up my bag.

"Everyone should be coming about five thirty" Renee says.

My phone buzzes and I pull it out.

- Sleep over -

Lily: We should totally wear onesies!!!!!

Sahila: yes! I have a kangaroo one! 🦘

Renee: I've got one!

Me: me too!

Amoy: I'll get mine!

Isabelle: I'll get my bear one!

Abbie: I'll get mine!

Sahila: I'm excited to get this party started!

Excited for the party!!!!!?!??!??!!??!!?
