AUSPICIOUS NIGHT

"The owls were howling,the bright moon was reflecting light into the kingdom . The trees were whistling , the cold breeze gently blowing." According to the prediction of the moon this is the night we have been waiting for ."the royal wizard said , his back bent slightly as he pointed at the bright moon through the open curtains ,A man dressed in royal attire was calmly listening,"I feel like something is unusual about this night" his face frowned a bit as he glanced at the moon."Your Highness this is the night when the promised ones are descending" his lips curved upwards as he held his rod closely that seemed to be a normal walking  stick but rather a magical wand."Who are the promised ones?"the King  glanced at the wizard his eye brows  raised in curiosity."I have served this Kingdom of Soulo for 50years and i have enough knowledge about what am going to say because i had a premonition. Two joined flowers are going to fall into the river,and the river will glow. Two children will arise , their faces will be gorgeous, their eyes will be as bright as pearls and their on each of their wrists, a star will be their as a mark.She will hold them up and bow down to the Great River and take them."Who is that woman?"the king asked with more eagerness. "I can't tell because their is fog covering the river , her face is not clear all I can tell is that she is dressed up in a purple cloth, her glooms of hair are long and pleasant.He noded slightly as he crossed his arms backwards"How are they significant?Will they bring any change to the Kingdom?" His lips curved upwards and he drew back the curtains to cover the moon and letting in some dim light "Yes, they will be the Protectors of Soulu but I don't know if this is appropriate to say...." He hooked his lips and trembled a bit before he said anything"You can say anything you are free because you are my royal wizard."The King said as he lightly smiled to show that nothing was wrong with saying the truth.He took a deep breathe before he inhaled"The promised ones will protect the Kingdom but will also lead to the end of ur regime." The King's eyes widened"What kind of nonsense is that, how dare you receive such ill premonitions about the King." The royal wizard began trembling in fear as he knew the King's anger, he couldn't spare a thing if he got angry, the veins in his eyes stiffened and his eyes slowly turned red. His anger was uncontrollable,"Can't you stop that nonsense from occuring""I..I.. can do nothing your Highness I can't stop the gods from this." He felt so angry and turned to the table he placed his hands on the table stiffly, "But you can..you can change"he spoke"Change.. he let out a laugh of mockery, change.. he picked up a knife from his table,All these years you think I can change, he placed the hand holding the knife in the robe , he turned to the wizard, he extended to him,"Mmm..tell me, how can i change from the devil I am because change applies to only devils right."No your majesty you are not a devil. He got out the knife and stabbed him right in the stomach and took it out he glanced at the blood and spread it on his arm, the wizard let out a moan of pain,"silence"the King stabbed him again and twisted the knife,A devil can never become an Angel but an Angel can become a devil.You should rest in peace in hell."he took out the knife, it was his golden dagger, he couldn't let him remain with it, the wizard fell to the ground violently and the king stood in anger as blood ozzed out covering the ground. On the other side a woman dressed in purple clothes and her hair behind her back she  knelt down before the river ,tears from her eyes dropped to the ground"Why don't you see the pain I go through and the way am disgraced

I have trusted you and today is the night when all my sorrow will end. Two flowers from the tree next to the river loosened , the wind blew them to the surface, the petals fell off and entered the water, the flowers also sunk. A tear from her cheek fell into the River.,"I promise to do anything as long as the gods grant my only wish."she spoke as her head remained  to the ground. The river shone bright , the colour of the water turned light blue she saw the brightness of the water and she raised her head she gently wiped her face with her fingers, in between the river, the water rose up slightly, she drew back ,some how terrified,whatever was on top of the water she couldn't see clearly until it extended to her, it pushed whatever it bought on the surface, she extended close enough to see and to her great surprise, a smile appeared on her lips,she gently bowed down to the River and raised her hands up ,"I am forever grateful to you and l assure you that i will desire of no more."They were two children both of them female and were as new as they would have been from the womb but they had no blood stains they were pure. She had a basket and gently placed one inside and held the other in her hand and covered her with half of her cloth.  "Clean up everything I want these chambers clean and burn the corpse nothing of this old hug should remain and tomorrow morning I will inform you of what's next."The King spoke to one of his trusted Generals his face was covered by the full body armour.,"yes your majesty, he didn't dare hesitate"the king walked out and went to his chambers,he slightly opened the door and entered,"What kept you busy ?"he turned around, the Queen was in bed,his lips curved upwards, i was handling some issues,"What is wrong?"she rose from bed and approached him, its nothing much just a few issue but it's solved"he held her cheek indicating that nothing is wrong but she could suspect something from his eyes but couldn't say anything more or rush to conclusions,"its fine we should rest." Early morning the King rose up and called for an assembly,"I want you to look for two children both female ,they have a mark of the star on their hands," what should we do with them in case we find them, kill them" one of the guards asked,"let not even a hair on their heads move an inch look for them and bring them, search until you get them , i don't care  where you go as long as you get them."He glanced at one of the Generals that stood a side,General Han Yuan you will head this search, I trust you, don't prove me wrong."i will do everything possible your Highness ." Mmm..Ok start the search immediately."The search began day and night, they scattered and made troops, the searched on streets in market places and where they thought they could be.FOURTEEN YEARS LATER.... Someone was shivering on bed, the bed was wooden  and dry hay was scattered in the place. She was covered with a cloth it was old enough to be called a rag. "Bring that water, mum needs it."the girl with long black hair and dark black pupils said, the other handed it to her she helped her sit up,"mum get something to eat," the other who was seated quietly got out something from the bag next to her and handed it to the one next to their mum,"Here have something to eat, she unwrapped , it was a loaf of bread,"Where did you get this from?,"she questioned her ,the one next to her hesitated to speak so she turned to the other who sat quietly,"where did you get this from?" ," The one seated next to her spoke,"mum first get something to eat then i will tell you promise." She ate hungrily,"get something to eat ."she stretched the remaining piece to them,"it's fine we already got something to eat, eat up so you'll regain your energy."she ate and also drunk some water, she wiped her lips,"Xioyang, tell me where did you get this from?" She spoke referring to the one seated next to her, "mum it's not important."she insisted,"Xiolion tell me where did you get this from,"Xiolion was fond of telling the truth it was difficult for her to lie to their mum,"we sold the red pendant to purchase.." Go and get it right now ,now i mean right now find any way to get it back," she was tensed out, "why is it that important"i have no time to explain get it back. They first looked around to see anything that could help, Xioyang got an old umbrella  and went outside and followed her sister they went back to the market place where they had sold the pendant, "we want the pendant back,"luckily it was still their,"you have to buy it100cents,"100,but we sold it to you only 50cents, " Profits bring 100 it will be yours again."they didn't have the money, "keep it safely we will be back for it."they were strunded,Xolion thought,she glanced up at the clouds,she then glanced at Xioyang's hand holding the umbrella and got an idea, she began shouting heading to different direction,"umbrella for sell its going to rain soon umbrella for sell,she found a man standing  dressed in palace clothes a body armour worn by  Generals,He was extremely handsome,his face shone brightly,but his lips curved down wards.his hair was very black,and long his skin was so clear like that of a new born.his eyes had dark black  pupils that were so gorgeous, his strong muscles could still be seen through the body armour, his hands crossed behind his back, his sword on his waist.,Sir ,umbrella wont you buy, would you prefer to get soaked up."The other guards next to him tried to stop her,he saw something different from her, her pupils were coloured in light blue, he felt something was different from this girl,"sir wont you buy the umbrella," how much?" 50cents," 50 cents for an old umbrella, she glanced up at the sky and then at him,"50 cents if not am leaving,"she began walking away,I will buy it, the voice said",she smiled lightly before she turned back ,50 cents " he gave it to her and she handed him the umbrella,It began raining" she was right it was going to rain he was in need of it, she rushed back to her sister , she heard her sister's voice but admist a crowd,sje entered the crowd and managed to get to her sister,she was doing magic,she could cover her hand and then release it with the star on the wrist,people were amazed and threw money in the box,one of the people in the crowd shouted," she has a star on her wrist ,she is one of them."Get her, Xialion held her sister's hand and they went through the crowd, one of the guards hurried and informed the General who was covering up the umbrella, it had stopped raining,the clouds were trying to clear up the grey sky."General...the star..," he was breathing heavily,"Where are they they ?he asked as his lips still curved downwards.The General commanded and they spread in different directions. They began looking for them in every angle. The twins ran to the person having their pendant and hurriedly threw the cents in front of her,"why are you breathing heavily any problem." She handed them the pendant after counting the cents, they ran back to the thatched house were their mother was waiting.,"Why are both of you breathing heavily?"she glanced at them,"i don't know mum ,we were doing magic and a person in the crowd shouted,"a star "then people began chasing us.her eyes wide open,"We must leave right now."she gained energy after hearing that.,"what is wrong,explain to us what is going on?"Xioyang asked.,"No time to explain,i will explain on the way but lets leave right now."they moved out following her ,they heard guards speaking and hid under some carriages then after confirming no one was coming they moved away and begun running not knowing the General saw them,"stop there all of you in peace,"their speed just increased he also began running after them and he was so speedy ,other guards also began running after them,they were on tensed,a lieutenant held out a gun and targeted the woman ,he concentrated and the next thing was a gun shot,they all froze the woman fell to the ground,"mum,they shouted."as they tried to hold her ,the bullet had hit the chest,blood had began flowing out violently,"Key.
..key..keep that pendant safely ,no one should see..see it both of you are..Ri..River."those were her last words before she lost breathe and died,Xiolion began let out a cry of sadness and great agony, Xioyang tried to control herself but tears began flowing out of her eyes endlessly, The General watched everything, he also felt touched a bit but he could do nothing, though he wanted to take them he didn't wish for the death of their mum.Xioyang held Xiolion's hand,"lets go mum is gone,we can do nothing for her."Right when they stood up the General spoke,"stop right their if u don't want any harm ."but they continued running,he used his martial arts skills and came in front of them. Xioyang held her sister's hand tightly,"what do you want from us ."she spoke hurtfully."Don't ask questions follow me and enter the carriage."he spoke coldly."we wont go with you, you people are monsters you killed our mother."The General glanced at the lieutenant who shot coldly,he slowly spoke to them,"little ones if u follow me,i will help you get your revenge,i promise you."the elder glanced at him firmly,"We are not little ones we are old enough to differentiate between what a lie is and truth."Mmm..in that case ,he used his skills and knocked them out on their necks,they passed out and he ordered they carried them to the carriage. He sat in the same carriage, as the sun was setting they woke up,the elder one coughed,they were tied up,"Would you like some water?,"He gently asked but his lips still curved downwards he never smiled,"Who requested for your water , i won't take filthy water.the young one spoke,"I will take the water."He untied her hands and handed her the jar,she swallowed the water then spat it out,this water is filled with blood from our mother l can't take it.he tried to control his anger towards them since they are just young children,"we are going to the king,try to behave in front of him,mostly you"he glanced coldly at the elder one,she spoke,"I wont keep quiet ,i promise you."she then hooked her lips, he felt pieced off but could do nothing to her,"Arrogant you will face problems if you don't ever learn to control your lips."she glanced at him showing no fear for him,"I will tell the king how rude you are and he can do nothing since he needs us am i wrong,"she spoke confidently,"i hope you would appreciate if i made you go back to sleep Mmm..."Don't worry that is not necessary am quiet. She even faced the different direction to shower that she was upset,at least he got her to keep quiet,the young one didn't say much. The journey was a bit long until they arrived at the castle, it was really huge and beautiful,fire torches were up as a source of light, the carriage stopped inside, he used his sword and untied them,"Make sure you obey and abide by what the King says except if you would like to follow your mother.".....TO BE CONTINUED
