Chapter 1

(Kaede's POV)

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I yawn and stretched before looking at the time.

"It's 6:01 I'll wake up Kaori... (Kaede's twin sister) otherwise she'll sleep in again."

I quickly got out of my bed and walked out of my room.

"Morning Kaede!" My mum said giving me a soft smile.

"Morning! Has dad left for work?"

My mum smiled and nodded before returning back to her cooking.

I walked to Kaori's room and knocked gently on her door before entering it.

"WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD!" I yelled

"GYAHHHHHH!" Kaori immediately sat up and looked at me in disbelief. "Really Kaede? (Yawn) it's so early. I guess I'll get ready for school."

I gave her a proud smile before leaving her room. I quickly walked to my room and changed into my uniform. I brushed my hair and looked at myself in the mirror. "Hmmm... I wonder what song should I play on my piano after school." I thought.

I quickly made my way to the living room where my mum was setting up breakfast with my grandmother who had just woken up.

"Morning Kaede." My grandmother said giving me a warm smile which I returned back.

Kaori walked out of her room her hair neatly tied up into a ponytail. "Good morning Grandma." Kaori said

"Morning to you too Kaori." My grandmother replied gesturing us to sit down.

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"Hm? Who is here so early in the morning?" My mum said looking at me and Kaori.

"I'll get it mum." Kaori said going to the door and opening it.

Outside there was two men in suits. They looked stern.

"H..hi?" Kaori stammered

"We're looking for Kaede Akamatsu, is she here?" One of the men said

I walked up to the door. " I'm Kaede Akamatsu, what do you need?" I said looking at Kaori who just gave a simple shrug.

"Hello, you been accepted into Hope's Peak Academy as the ultimate Pianist, here are the details." They took out a letter and handed it to me. My eyes widen in shock seeing the official Hope's Peak Academy logo on the letter.

My mum rushed up to the door. "You been accepted?! That's amazing Kaede!"

I looked at Kaori, who gave me a thumbs up of approval. I smiled softly at her and turned back to the two men.

"Sure I'll go." I said as Kaori and my squealed happily.

The two man smiled and left.

I quickly looked at the letter they handed to me. "All students are to attend to Hope's Peak Academy starting from 3rd July. That's two weeks from now." I muttered

"They said you have to pack a luggage as you guys will be staying in dorms" Kaori added showing me a sad look.

"Ah geez the time! Kaori, hurry our school extra activities are going to start soon!" I said grabbing Kaori's hand and started running.

"BYE MUM!" Me and Kaori said st the same time before running to the bus stop.

When we boarded the bus, Kaori and I sat on one of the seats.

"I'm gonna miss you nagging me to wake up soon." Kaori jokingly commented.

"Well while I'm gone, please set an alarm. You can have my clock I already have an alarm set so you don't need to do anything." I said smiling at her.

"We're here Kaede." Kaori said standing up. I quickly followed her out of the bus.

"I'm going to miss this school once I leave." I thought looking at the building.
