Chapter Six

Bethan POV

My friends, Violet and Poppy, and me stayed in the corner stuck to the ground with fear, "So I hear you're the leaders fiance" One of the guards asked me. I slowly nodded my head like it was frozen. "Ahh ok. So he would probably do anything thing to help save you?" he emphasized the 'anything', I nervously shrugged my shoulders, how should I know he said he was doing this revolution thing for me. "Ok you two may leave" the guard pointed to my friends, they were frozen with fear to, they gave me look asking what they should do. I nodded my head allowing for them to leave. They are my best friends they can't die too. They got to the door then started running for their lives. "So what are we going to do with you" my attention was turned back to the guard who gave me a evil smirk.

I didn't think twice and charged at the man stomping his foot then ran out of the building. I ekptrunning and didn't stop, I could hear foot steps behind me but they were faint, after many years of running away form things I had become very light and quick on my feet, so eventually the foot steps disapeared. I guess my friends have been practing running too because I cuoldn't find them any where.

Just go find Enjolras, you'll be safe there. I told myself, trying to calm down I found myself almost lost until I found a street I recognised.

Violet's POV

Poppy and me ran for our lives, we had to get to Enjolras and the rest of Les Amis, to tell them what had happend. Finally we found the barricade. "Who goes there?" someone called out, I think it was Enjolras, Poppy grabbed my arms digging her nails in and stopping the circulation.

"Supporters of the revolution!" I called out, what else was I supposed to say?

"What are your names?"

"violet and Poppy" I coudl hear some mummbling and discussion between them and I htink someone siad, 'they're Bethans friends'. Parts of the barricade was pushed away and we were lead in.

"Do you know Bethan?" Enjolras asked us.

"Yes she is our best friend!" Poppy said suddenly speaking up.

"Then where is she?"

"The guards have her in the school"

"What and you just left her!" wow he is angry.

"No no she made us leave, and the guard"

"Enjolras calm down" another man said. I was shaking with fear.

Bethan's POV

I was still running adrenaline was rushing through me giving me so much more energy. Again I heard footsteps but they weren't going in my direction they were going in the direction I was going. To where Enjolras was! I followed behind the guards keeping my distance though.

I looked at all of them in distgust, why would they want to kill people who just want to help? Suddenly my gaze was pointed somewhere else.

The had cannons!

I need to warn Enjolras. But how can I?
