Just The Start of Summer

RIIING!RIIING!

The last bell rings meaning school is out and I am ready to start summer! Can't wait to be a senior! I want to spend my weeks goofing off at work and weekends cracking up at the beach. Obviously I'll be with my friends. Wait, where are they?

I push through the science class room doors and turn my head in every direction. Mikayla! Finally someone I know in this crowd of chaos. Kayla is the trendiest person I know.The same moment a saw her, she noticed me. We smiled and hurried to each other for safety. "Kay Kay, thank goodness I found you! Where are the others?" I breathe out, eyeing around for a familiar face. "Uhm, I don't know. But let's head out to 'The Freezer'. I'll send a text out." she cheers pulling out her phone.

Finally free from the swarm of wild teens, I make my way to my mini scooter. I love my mini scooter. It's like my mini baby. I get Kay Kay's text about ice cream and look for her. I find her standing around looking confused.

"Kay Kay, need a ride!?" I yell to her over all the commotion. "Sure! I was gonna go with Courtney but I can't find her and she won't answer my text. Let's go!" She explains. Mikayla jumps on back and we race on down to 'The Freezer'. 'The Freezer' is our hangout place. I love it! I mean there's ice cream and that's an instant passage way to my heart. I laugh to myself.

"We are here!" Kay Kay points out. "Yea, and there's Steven and Josh." Steven is super geeky and super nice. Josh is an ass that we are stuck with forever...I see them already looking at flavors. I beep my horn which quickly gets their attention. Once they have realized who we were, they smiled and waved at us. "Hey Laura! Hey Courtney!" josh greets us chirpily. And then from Steven,"What's up?" "Oh nothing just summer has started and I'm about start one of the funnest jobs for summer." I say in a completely non excited tone. All I see is dumbfounded faces on everyone, even Mikayla. "Guys, everything is up! ITS SUMMER!" I fist bump the air in excitement. When I see the realization come to their faces I roll my eyes.

We start looking at the flavors and then everyone finally arrives. Finally! My group consist of 7 people, including me. There is Courtney, Josh, Mikayla, Oliver, Rebecca, and Steven. My best friends since first grade. I love them sooo much I'd die for them. Haha jk jk. Well maybe...

We all kiss each other cheek to cheek and order our ice creams. We talk about school and how it really sucks and how this summer is gonna be awesome. And this is just the start of summer.
