after scaring the shit out of her friends, kimberly is consumed by her own curiousity and breaks the first rule of playing the ouija board and tries it alone—leading to her untimely death. devastated by her loss, her friends, overcome with grief, attempt to say a final goodbye by contacting her spirit with the board. however, their actions backfire and they open a portal between the living and the dead. as they face the terrifying consequences of their actions, they must find a way to shut the portal and escape their grim fate.
