4 WEEKS LATER..
A SPA DAY was definitely what I needed, especially after taking care of a very sick Jordan four weeks ago—and honestly, it was probably one of the most fun moments I've had with Jordan in a long time.
That day with Jordan had gotten me to start thinking, though, about everything that happened and everything that is currently going on between us—whatever that may be, because I'm just as confused as anyone else when it comes to us.
Which is why I'm glad Raya and Halo decided to take me out on this girls spa day. It's relaxing and very, very much needed.
"How are you enjoying our girls day so far, Ari?" Halo asks as she looks through nail polish colors.
I smiled, doing the same. "It's the best. Much needed, actually, especially with all this Jordan stuff going on, and with me trying to figure out my finances in order to attempt at opening my own salon..."
Halo and Raya exchanged a small glance. "Speaking of Jordan..."
I raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"How are you feeling, you know... about him? And...everything he's been doing so far?" Halo asks with a small shrug.
"I...I feel like he's making a great effort. I'm surprised that he's actually been going for this long." I replied.
Raya cocked her head to the side. "You didn't answer the first question."
I blinked. "What was it?" I asked, clearing my throat.
"How are you feeling about him?" Halo repeats.
I paused. There were multiple ways that this conversation could go. I could completely open up about how I feel or I could give a simple one to four word vague answer that would most likely end with Raya tossing a chair at my head.
It would be so much easier if some random person was asking me about how I felt about him, but these weren't random people. These were two of my best friends who knew me like the backs of their hands—who could get me confess just about anything without feeling ashamed or judged.
See, had anyone other than Halo and Raya had asked that question, I probably would've kept it short and simple. Say how he's a nice guy and things of that nature, but when it comes to them, I've gotta be honest and say...
"Honestly, even when I'm not around him, I fall for him more and more each day. It doesn't matter how scared I am, or how my brain may ring a bell and remind me of what happened prior... it's like my heart is literally drawn to him and only him."
Raya smiled softly. "Oh my gosh! Do you know what this means?!"
"Uh, pink please," I said to the nail tech. I turned to Raya and raised an eyebrow, "What?"
"You love him." Halo squealed, clapping her hands.
"Hey!" the nail tech scolded. "I told you not to move hand!"
Halo grimaced. "Sorry..."
"Why don't you tell him?" Raya asks.
